The damn Asian front seems to be a pain in the ass. Let's hope for your sake you can send reinforcements soon.

Just found this and read through - nice :)

Asia seems about to being overrun..., but you're right, the resources of Europe must be taken quick to prepare against the inevitable fallout against the not-as-commie Internationale.

This game (and myself) just pissed me off. The game is doing well and I've made screenshots and all of that stuff then an event fired where Mittelafrika (Centroafrica in this AAR and member of the Socialist Front) made peace with Portugal (member of the Coalition), the ending for the supposed colony-grabbing war by Goering, and the ENTIRE ALLIANCE MADE WHITE PEACE WITH EACH OTHER! Germany and Hungray are back to their places. No autosave. The last save was from the end of the previous update.

Update delayed.

“The Union of Britain has the third largest economy and the largest navy within the Internationale, a fair army, a very competent air force and the island itself pose a major strategy position against our enemies – the Reactionaries and the pseudo-Socialists. The country must be won!”
- written by People's Commissar Vyacheslav Molotov in his memoirs.

The Battle for Britain

The armour horde blast into Sarajevo and encircled the Bosnians. It was the 29th of February 1941 and the steel monsters of the Red Army, commanded by the now General Zhukov, are tasked to knock out the Dual Monarchy's small semi-independent states in the Balkans, Bosnia and Croatia.

The PeoCom for Defence and PeoCom for Armaments have made a new standard uniform and equipment for the Red Army troops. Upgrades commenced immediately.

Another smashing victory for the Socialist Front with a Coalition member, La Plata, surrendered to Brazil. With the victory achieved by Brazil for the second time, Rio de Janeiro showed no mercy for the reactionaries this time. Compare to the small land grab from the previous war between the two contenders, the terms on the La Platans was harsh. The La Plata is now under total Brazilian occupation until the government is replaced by a Socialist, pro-Brazilian government and the defeated nation from now on, has to pay a consistent amount of war indemnities every year, indefinitely, and the constitution was amended, limiting its armed forces. No capital ships, tanks, nor heavy artillery; its air force is dissolved. It was the worst humiliation ever suffered by a South American country in post-colonial history. Brazil delivered the knock-out punch to its old nemesis. Only the reactionary Peru-Bolivia Confederation in the west stands between Brazil and continental supremacy.

laplataannex.png

The next day after the surrender of La Plata was the capture of Sarajevo and the liberation of Bosnia. General Zhukov now sets his eyes on Croatia.

bosniaannex.png

The targets were the port city of Dubrovnik, which contains a major airfield, and the city of Uzice, where the main supply depot and a former-Serbian military bases is located. The Soviet tanks battered the Croatian forces in Mostar, in March 8, despite the rain and the mountainous terrain.

In the 14th of March 1941, the Chairman of the Union of Britain passed away with the entire nation mourning. But politics does not rest to mourn. With the death of the chairman, a new leadership must be found. The congress was scheduled for disbandment and a general election was called.

chairmanmann.png

The existing council consists of:

The Federationists: Intends to preserve the status quo, Britain's federal, decentralised nature. The Feds are the ruling faction in the congress in coalition with the Autonomists to defeat the Maximists and gaining the majority. They occupy roughly a quarter of the congress.

The Congregationalists: Similar to the Feds' views but radical, they are the most feminist faction in the congress. They are also anti-war and isolationists, calling for Britain to withdraw from the Socialist Front and recall all troops in the continent. They occupy only a small amount in the congress.

The Autonomists: the most pro-decentralise group in the congress. They call for the split of the CTU into regional congresses each in England, Welsh, and Scotland, practically disbanding the Union. They occupy roughly a quarter of the congress.

The Maximists: the most pro-centralise, and statist group in the congress. They call for the radical reforms of turning Britain into a unitary state and the application of Bolshevism, without calling it “Bolshevism” for very obvious reasons. They occupy nearly half of the congress but not enough for a majority.

The Soviet-friendly Maximists received funds from Kremlin once again but the amount was very generously enormous this time considering how Soviet Russia is doing excellent today compare to five years ago, just recently beaten the Czarists in their second civil war. The French are also up to the game. Aiding the Federalists and to a lesser extent, the Autonomists. Historians regarded this as the first ever showdown of the Soviet-Syndicalist conflict.

The election campaign was fierce but the Maximists are gaining the upper-ground with their message of British nationalism, strong unity, militarism, and world revolution; debunking their opponents, the Autonomists that their proposed devolution will only severely weaken Britannia, the Congretionalists with their pacifism and isolationism, and the Federationists with their opposition on centralisation.

With the Second Great War raging, the Maximist hawkish cause is growing than ever.

After 3 weeks of intense fight to win over the hearts and minds of the British working class, the votes were counted. The Congregationalists again received a small amount of votes in the congress. The Autonomists, lost more than half of their seats in the CTU, roughly an eighth remains. The only contenders are the larger, and pro-Syndicalist Federationalists and the biggest, and pro-Soviet party, the Maximists.

The Maximists faction grew significantly and achieve a huge majority in the Congress of Trade Unions. The Federationalists grew as well but only up to a roughly a third. The battle for Britain was over. The Maximists won. People's Commissar Molotov was in London to congratulate the new chairman, Oswald Mosley, and his newly appointed General Secretary, Eric Blair. The country's new policies are now pro-Bolshevik, well... Totalism said by the Maximists, however, the new central council warned the Kremlin that the reforms will not be instantaneous.

The result was a disaster for France. Britain is the second most powerful Socialist nation if we exclude Soviet Russia in the list. France just lost a vital ally within Internationale.

In March 17, the strategic stronghold and supply depot nearby Uzice was captured along with the city itself. The soviet tanks rampaged through Mostar and reached the coastal city of Dubrovnik. The heavily damaged Croatian army was easily defeated during the entire night.

battle38.png

By the 18th of March 1941, Croatia surrendered, and both Bosnian & Croatian bourgeois governments were tried for crimes against the Proletariat.

Hungarian and Bulgarian juggernauts are next to feel the fury of the army of the Proletariat.

The Brits finally realize Atlee was not the man for the job. And maybe Britiain will now be loyal to YOU and not the French Syndies.

Mosley as an ally is not to be scoffed at. Those pinky frenchies need to be held back!:p

“This is their fault. The Hungarians now regrets standing down when the damn Reds invaded Mitteleuropa.”
- S.K.u.K.H. Otto I von Habsburg

Budapest Offensive

“We have gathered enough reports to suggest that the Hungarians have weaken their forces in the west to reinforce the exposed south.”

“Excellent.” Said by the People's Commissar of Defence, Tukhachevsky. “With the exploitation of the southern flank not a viable option any more, we shall proceed with the Budapest Offensive.”

The offensive was quite simple. Attack from the west and south-west to surround the capital city and punch a huge hole on their defences. If this offensive is a success, The death of the dual-monarchy will be just a matter of time.

ofbudapest.png

The Budapest Offensive.

“Comrade Proskurov, any news on our Imperial highnesses?”

“The Austrian Emperor-King have immediately evacuated Budapest to the east after our Red bombers starts to soften the city. As for the Kaiser, we have no news of him after our informants found him in Venice.”

The Soviets weren't comfortable with the fact that the Kaiser, the ultimate nemesis of the Proletariat, slipped from their hands and nowhere to be found. Another fear grew to them that the Syndicalists might capture the damn thing and have him as a prize for themselves.

kaiser1.png

Where in the world is Kaiser Wilhelm II?

-------------------

The offensive opened with a battle in Gyor in the 15th of March 1941. The Red Army simply swat the outnumbered enemy.

battle37.png

Two days later, the battle for Bratislava followed. The Red Army was victorious once again.

battle39.png

In the 20th of March 1941, the generals in the north start to take the opportunity in this offensive and Zilina was attacked by the Red Army in the north. 7 divisions from the west and 9 divisions supporting them from the east. The battle was easily won.

battle41.png

At the same day, the Red Army reached the city of Pecs and proceed east to Szeged. Meeting the resistance, 3 Hungarian divisions. Just like all battles in this offensive, the resistance was useless against the overwhelming Soviet troop numbers and their artillery firepower.

battle42.png

Desperation ran high for the Hungarians, as the Soviet army are now enveloping them. The high command ordered a general retreat out of Budapest despite the orders from the Emperor-King to “fight for the capital to the last man”.

frontline41.png

After Zilina, the Soviets in the north continues to Kosice meeting only an insignificant resistance.

battle43.png

The tanks under the command of General Zhukov currently in Bosnia race to the north to support the main Red Army. The battle for Miskolc continues. The strategic place needs to be captured in order to surround Budapest.

battle44.png

The Red Army have now successfully made two pockets. The first pocket was eliminated immediately. 7 divisions surrendered to the people's army!

battle45.png

On April 7, the second capital of the dual-monarchy was assaulted. The Budapest pocket was eliminated three days later with more than 10 divisions surrendered.

battle46.png

11th of April 1941. Debrecen was captured. Hungary proper is now liberated by the Soviet Army, aside from Hungarian-occupied Romania, only a 4 division pocket in Przemysl and a 2 division pocket in Novi Sad remains.

frontline44.png

Materials are being stocked. Tanks are being repaired. Resistance forces in Romania are being contacted. The Soviet Army now prepares for the liberation of Romania.

--------------------

The People's Commissariat for Armaments were quite busy throughout the several past months. A new heavy tank was put into production. The navy received a new class of destroyer for their battlefleets although no production was planned. They also developed medium-range submarines. The People's Commissariat for Armaments weren't satisfied and planned to continue on developing better submarines that can travel for longer distances.

soviettech1941apr.png

---------------------

The new friendship between Totalist Britain and Soviet Russia improved further with a huge team of naval experts from the British Republican navy. In exchange, Russia accepted a contract to manufacture a enormous haul of British arms, ammunition and other equipments. This is a significant help to the modernisation of the Soviet navy which still remains outdated.

In other affairs, the so-called “Defender of the Nation”, the warmonger General MacArthur have grabbed San Francisco from the dying PSA. Massive looting and pillaging to the Proletarians were committed by his soldiers. Only the city of Seattle remains in PSA hands in the mainlands. The government have already evacuated to Hawaii and abandoned Seattle.

Chasing the Emperor-King

In South Italy, the Socialists are having their own congressional election. This alarmed France once again as Kremlin might steal Paris's closest ally.

The the current congress consists of:

The Anarcho-Syndicalist Union – a radical syndicalist group who are very similar to the factions in the Union of Britian. They only held a small number of representatives in the congress.

The Social-Reformist Union – The currently ruling union. The group is one of the most moderate in the Red spectrum, just along the left of the Social Democratics. The group is very popular as they held roughly two-thirds of the congress.

The National-Syndicalist Union – A group that is in favour of a centralised state. Followers of Totalism. Obviously, in cohorts with the Bolsheviks in Russia and the victorious Maximists in Britian. They held roughly a third of the congress.

Both Britain and Russia supported the National-Syndicalists and France extensively supported the other two.

The leader of the National-Syndicalist Union was Mussolini. He held the title "General Responsible for Transport". Under his management, he reformed the chaotic railway system and made them organised and run on time, earning the praise of many, especially the commuters. Although on this election. He and his union only managed to win the Italians on foreign issues through Italian nationalism and its destined unification with North Italy and some lands owned by the Austrians.

mussolini.png

All three parties only secured roughly a third of the congress each and resulted into a draw. No union wants to budge until France pressured the Anarcho-Syndicalists and the Social-Reformists to compromise and form a coalition. Paris was satisfied that the Soviets were defeated in Italy again.

New plans were made by the Red Army in April to advance through the region of Transylvania as the Red Army's entry into Hungarian-occupied Romania. Hopefully, it will envelop the slow-moving defenders.

oftranslyvania.png

The Transylvania region in Yellow

The first battle was in Satu Mare with 15 Soviet divisions armed with tanks against 3 damaged and ill-equipped Hungarian divisions.

battle48.png

The Soviet armour pounded the weak defenders in Cluj-Napoca. The battle was easy. The Imperial court fled again to Bucharest

battle49.png

By April 17, the Reactionary frontline in Transylvania collapse and were enveloped. These troops would soon have no place left to run and would surrender. The Balkans HQ then ordered the Red Army to full speed to completely shatter the Dual-Manarchy, named as Operation Rector.

oprector.png

The Red Army is now bent to capture Bucharest, Tulcea (a major port), and other major cities. The Armour column under the command of Comrade Konev is leading the push on Braila.

frontline45.png

In the 21st of April 1941, People's Commissar Tukhachevsky retires on his position and the Sovnarkom replaced him with the rising star, Georgiy Zhukov. The new People's Commissar of the People's Commissariat for Defence.

sovietcabinet.png

As the Emperor-King and the Imperial court flees, the Soviet onslaught follows them fiercely. The advancing army now marches to Bucharest.

battle51.png

Another advance with the same destination came from the North. The now, Field Marshall Zhukov charge his tanks to Ploesti.

battle52.png

After the Budapest offensive, the war planes of the Reactionaries start to lose the fight against the Soviets with less and less of their planes operating. The skies would soon become red.

airbattle05.png

The assault on Bucharest has begun in the 1st of May 1941. The out-numbered and out-gunned garrisons gripped tight of the city with brutal fighting in the streets and buildings. HQ already predicted that the cowardly Reactionary government and the Hapsburgs have already left to their ally down south, Bulgaria.

battle53.png

Another battle raged in Braila after losing control of it to the Hungarians. The 7 Soviet divisions armed with tanks attack the enemy position and set its eyes on the port of Tulcea to envelop the forces in Bessarabia.

battle55.png

After a week of bloody and fierce urban fighting, the city of Bucharest was won.

battle56.png

Operation Rector is nearly done and the Hungarian forces are hanging on by a thread but the Balkan campaign is still not quite finished yet.

-----------------------

A new design of infantry was given to the PeoCom for Defence. Infantry that is carried by vehicles so that they can tag along with the armour column and make deep battle more effective. This design was done before in 1939 but never went into production. The Sovnarkom, this time around, orders to build these new kind of Red warriors. The Reactionaries won't see this coming.

soviettech1941apr2.png

April 20. The Pacific Americans calls for full mobilisation and conscripted all able males in Seattle and the surrounding areas. Desperate time call for desperate measures. But even with the massive conscription, it didn't stop the warlord MacArthur where he won Seattle in May 8. The city was looted and pillage by his victorious forces. All that is left standing is the government and a meagre army in Hawaii. Regarding his view on the Second Great War, his “Those goddamn Syndies...” comment in an interview wasn't taken as a good sign by the Socialist Front.

I actually fell over laughing when it was said that Mussolini was a communist.

Et tu, Il Duce?

The duce WAS a socialist at one point. And fascism has much socialism in it.

I just have to tell you guys this. There will be a huge changes which will be reveal in the next update or so. To the people who have been longing for some Far East updates, you're in for a treat. I'm currently writing up events to add some flavour on what happened.
