Red Guards Reborn
While rapid development is happening in Soviet Russia, events are unfolding outside the country. The People's Republic of Bengal has been officially renamed to The Commune of the Working People of Bharitya, also known as, Bharitya Commune. The renaming is a public statement that the workers' state is no longer planning to limit to Bengal but to all of India.
Her ambition became action in the 6th of January 1940, when the Princely Federation was shaken by massive revolts in their lands by Socialists demanding more rights in this feudal nation. The Princely Federation was an oligarchy of aristocrats ruling over the realm, a collection of princes and rajahs who banded up together following the withdrawal of British rule in India. The Reactionary federation already suffers on social conflicts throughout the country and mostly funded by the Bharitya Commune, unfortunately, most of the conflicts were put down with ease. That is until January 6 where an uprising was born, a major revolt unseen before in the federation. The pompous princes panicked at such sight that they quickly ordered their armies to crush the people's struggle. The Bhartiya Commune came to the rescue as she also sends her brave troops covertly over the borders to arm, aid and train the people's army. Delhi was quiet throughout the crisis.
Several clashes between the two sides occurs giving the federation a bloody nose for expecting the revolt to be nothing more but a mob. After learning that Bharitya was involved in this internal issue, the Princely Federation formally declared to the red Indian state.

The Federal troops made a big push to the remaining Socialist lands. The northern front in Minnesota collapsed and the surrounding areas of Chicago were being attacked.
USA. 25th of December 1939
After three months of fierce fighting, the Reactionaries reached the Great Lakes and occupied everything except for the strongholds of Chicago and Detroit still under Socialist hands. In March 16, the siege of Detroit and Chicago started with fierce urban warfare inflicting death tolls to both sides.
USA. 16th of March 1940
Nine days later, Detroit was fully captured. The brave defenders of Chicago held their ground for two more days. As the soldiers of the Reactionary MacArthur march in the capital city, Reed and other prominent CSA members are gone, the Federalist's speculation is that they somehow escaped to the countries of the Internationale. The most probable one is their southern neighbour, Mexico. Aside from checkpoints on ports and in the borders, no further actions were made to find the Syndicalist party. In April 7, the civil war was officially over.

Back in Anatolia, the region was still practically under Russian control until February 7, a meeting of delegations met in Sevastopol. The Russians, Turkish and, surprisingly, the Greeks. The Bolshevik Party of Greece have escaped their homeland occupied by the Bulgarians and seek asylum in the Soviet Russia. After the annexation of the Ottoman empire, the party petitioned to the Kremlin for a provisional Greek government in the western coasts of Anatolia. The Greeks requested a Greek state which is similar to the Megali Idea. Kremlin accepted the request in one condition, the Bosphorus strait will be open to Soviet ships and no toll or any payment will be incur to Russian ships for access of the strait.

The provisional government of Greece was setted up and will be seated in Antalya indefinitely. Greek citizens from their occupied homeland were welcomed to immigrate until its liberation.
The provisional government of Turkey was made official and the creation of the Soviet Republic of Turkey with its capital in Ankara. Just like in Arabia and Russia, the new Socialist state will be lead by the Council of People's Commissars. With Dr. Sefik Husnu as its Chairman and Pertev Boratav as its General Secretary. Among the three Soviet governments, only Turkey has the position of General Secretary occupied. The new nation was instantly admitted to the Internationale.
For the first time in history, the Turkish republic was created. The western lands were still in Russian control.

As Soviet Russia absorbs French and Italian knowledge thanks to the Triple Cooperation. The Russian themselves still came up with an innovative idea that is unknown to the rest of the Red World. In the 6th of October 1939, Chairman Bukharin signed a project which he, himself, heavily supported. The project was named “Icarus” and for four months, the project was developed and tested until the final product was branded as a success and in February 15, a military demonstration in France was given in front of several audience from the Internationale. An array of planes all flown over the spectators and out of these giant beasts were tiny dots of men jumping out of it. The soldiers were later then softly dropped into the earth with parachutes. The exercise was a success. The audiences were impressed.

A brainchild of Colonel Vasily Margelov, who is a wounded veteran from the Spanish civil war; several military figures became keen to this idea and later he received Bukharin's support. During the Project Icarus, they were first named as “Landing Troops” then the chairman choose the name “Red Guards” after the defunct unit who fought bravely against the Czarists and protected the underground Soviets. Their place on the military hierarchy became a small problem. The Red Guards theory was heavily involved in the three branches and all three branches want to own the Red Guards. Chairman Bukharin broke the argument by placing them under the GRU becoming the military arm of Soviet intelligence. Colonel Margelov was switched to the GRU as head of the Red Guards working for the Director, Lt. General Proskurov. The Red Guards will be used in unconventional methods, mainly as parachute troops but they were also trained for amphibious assaults and other covert missions. They are Mother Russia's elite fighting force.

Excellent update! A sad day for North America.
To give yourself a challenge, you should put the USA on Germany's side when the Great Patriotic War breaks out. Authoritarian Militarist states with a hatred of the left should unite! It'd be interesting to see how the USA AI handles it - probably send lots of strat bombers to blow the crap out France's industry, which might do things to alter the balance of the European war.

I just don't know fro mwhere my happiness (yet somewhat tammed by events in america) comes about greeks, is it because i so much like greeks (this is sparta? XD) or is it because i made a difference in a world that exists outside of my head? the greek provisional republic could develop up Izmir, which would be its for-the-time-being capital

Although the gap between Russia and France is still visible. Considering how short six months is, technology have made a massive leap. The results of the technological dash became more evident as time goes by. The Red Army's soldiers have up-to-date equipment and the army is ready to train a new motorised army. Although the supply system is lags behind for a bit. The military doctrine is getting an overhaul as General Alexander Vasilevsky and People's Commissar Tukhachevsky are writing the army manual called as “Provisional Instructions for Organising the Deep Battle”. For the first time, the infantry, the armour and the airforce is now, officially, fully integrated in the Red Army's fighting style.
The armour and artillery aspect of the Red Army is still in the progress of modernisation. The anti-aircraft guns and artillery are considered as mildly obsolete. There are now talks of these so-called “rocket artillery” to be tested, something that the RNII partly came up with. New tank designs are being formulated by the NKPV in partnership of Charkov Factory Design Bureau.
A sad story for the Red Navy as promises for modernisation and rebuilding fell short. The ship development received funding cuts, the heavy aircraft carrying cruisers weren't even developed and the existing designs never became actual ships, not one. The navy's doctrines were considered as very obsolete and so far, no step forward was made.
The Red Airforce, extremely obsolete like their naval counterparts, received substantial support and quickly modernised the airforce. Not to mentioned the department grew thrice its size in terms of the number of aircrafts. The force was considered as fairly modern. The doctrines, however, were obsolete with a few amount of funds being poured into it. The airforce's doctrine is currently being modernised.
The intelligence agencies, both GRU and NKGB, have reported that the equipment they are using is obsolete compare to the agencies of France and Italy are using. The manufacturing sector, RNII and the Atomic Research Team are also fairly lagging behind on their timetable due to lack of funds. Both the manufacturing sector and the intelligence agencies heavily benefit from the “Overdrive”. The agriculture sector is already considered as modern since the final agricultural reform was passed by Bukharin. The newly liberated lands are still not fully collectivised but they are getting there.
Overall, the motherland's technology is still behind to its friends and rivals but it's still early. Russia is just starting to catch up.

The Balkans have changed quite significantly in the recent years. The Mitteleuropa-Belgrade Pact war turned the Balkans into a landscape where two powers dominate the region. Austria-Hungary and Bulgaria.
The fractured Austria-Hungary rebuilds itself through diplomacy and warfare. Austria annexed Bohemia directly back into her realm, Bosnia submitted to Austria's sphere and Croatia ceded some of her lands. Austria occupies a third of Serbia, the Belgrade province. While Austria's partner, Hungary, expanded herself eastward by annexing Romania until she reaches the shores of the Black Sea and the borders of the Motherland. On the south, Bulgaria is the other winner of the war against the Belgrade Pact. Annexing Greece as part of her lands, obtaining the “Queen of Cities” and both shores of the Bosphorus too, denying the Russians the access they wanted for so long.
Serbia was shared between Austria, Croatia and Bulgaria. The other countries in the region were Croatia, Bosnia, both under Austria's leash, and Albania, who pray that the powers wouldn't point their guns at her.

In Spain, the bloody civil war between the three camps definitely turned into a stalemate where no one can vanquished the other. Nobody wants to make peace either. What is clear though is that the Reactionary Carlists were dominating the war with both the Kingdom of Spain and the CNT-FAI all pushed onto the corners of the country, on the south and in the Catalan areas respectively.
Both the Reactionaries and the Internationale lost interest in the war.

In Africa, the monolithic German African colony called Mittelafrica began to suffer a leadership vacuum after Goring was forced to resign by the Kaiser himself. Two prominent figures came out as the viable candidates for the leadership for Mittelafrika; Ernst Junger and Joseph Kasa-Vubu. Ernst Junger was a soldier from the Kaiser's army who rose through the ranks and the writer who wrote “Storm of Steel”. The other was Joseph Kasa-Vubu, born in the Belgian Congo, a soldier served in the colonial army who also rose through the ranks and a secret follower of Syndicalism. Many expected Junger to inherit the colony without opposition but, surprisingly, Kasa-Vubu gained a lot of support from the military and political hierarchy through the years ranging from White German officers to closet Socialists.
The question on who will take Goring's former position, Statthalter, divided the colony until an election was called to solve the issue (only within the higher-ups, mind you). To Berlin's surprise, Joseph Kasa-Vubu narrowly won the election. One of the first moves he made were that the Mittelafrica declared its independence from Germany. The lost of AOG is still fresh in the Germans' minds, it stroked hard to the Reichstag's morale and to Germany's pride and prestige. The next one is the passing of several Socialist reforms transforming the colony into a Socialist state. Lastly, the White settlers were given the option to go or stay. The new African comrade promised them equal rights if they wish to stay. The country was accepted to the Internationale after it made its application.

Lastly, in America. MacArthur declared war against the Pacific States of America after the PSA declined the offer to rejoin the union. The dictator is determined to regain the lost lands.

To Berlin's surprise, Joseph Kasa-Vubu narrowly won the election. One of the first moves he made were that the Mittelafrica declared its independence from Germany. The lost of AOG is still fresh in the Germans' minds, it stroked hard to the Reichstag's morale and to Germany's pride and prestige. The next one is the passing of several Socialist reforms transforming the colony into a Socialist state. Lastly, the White settlers were given the option to go or stay. The new African comrade promised them equal rights if they wish to stay. The country was accepted to the Internationale after it made its application.

It should rather be People's Republic as well - it implies the less radical form of socialism.

The thing about 'Peoples Republic' is it could actually be a republic or it could be a state similar to the GDR, ie not democratic at all.
Since Union of Central American Socialist Republics is well known shortly as Centroamerica to KR universe, what about renaming Mittelafrika to Union of Central African Socialist Republics, or shortly Centroafrica? However, if this new state will not stop where Mittelafrika did, claiming all the way from Cape Town to Cairo, maybe Union of African Socialist Republics, or shortly Union of Africa (analogy with Union of Britain), would be more in place. I'm pretty sure that such a conglomerate would be a federation, not unitary state, so Union of Socialist Republics is my preference over People's Republic.
Also, Balkans region looks interesting. Too bad you couldn't secure Constantinople for yourself.

Interesting development in Africa.
One thing that might interest you - I plan to allow Mittelafrika to change name if it turns syndicalist - currently the best seems to be the one Asalto has proposed - Centroafrika ( it sounds interesting and it is short enough )....

hmh, with national france encircled, there must be lots of syndie dissidents lurking around
btw, commune de france should interveen, at least regain sarragossa and terragona and then force carplists to peace, like it was with north korea in otl.
besides that, germany should become uber with assimilating austria, giving to hungary lands: blejovar osijak and belgrade*.
also partition galitzien by giving cracov stryj and przemysl to hungary and rest to poland
