Looks good, what mods are you using?

Lord Elgin, engaging in wanton lootery in this universe too.

Looks interesting!

Thanks for participating in Writing with the StAARs!

Only the Rebel Demands Tweak and my own minor adjustments to create an independent Louisiana. I'll post a map, etc. at the start of the 1836 session.

Boo! Hiss! Nasty French bastards! Vive le Haiti libre!

On the other hand, the AAR is absolutely glorious in both idea, style and execution. I'll be following. Bonne chance! :D

Thanks! I'm afraid the only way to plausibly have an independent Louisiana is to crush the Haitian rebellion (and brutally, too). It remains to be seen, however, how long Saint Domingue will remain subdued...

Yep! Some forces are too great to be stopped by alternative history, and British cultural imperialism is one of them!

Very, very cool. I love the way you explained game terminology in the journalistic style.

Thanks! I'm hoping to keep the flavour of the newspaper format as much as possible.

Looks promising!

Good to hear it!

Thank you, sir, for hosting such a promising competition. Anything that encourages new AARs has to be a good thing!

To all: There's a few issues of the prologue to get through, so I'll be posting those fairly frequently until we reach 1836. A prize of kudos to the first person who correctly guesses who Louisiana's ruler will be in 1836! Hopefully the updates will be coherent enough to follow the story, but please let me know if the format needs updating or tweaking at all. As far as I know, I'm the first person to do this!

Down with the interweb, Up with the old-fashioned newspaper. I look forward to reading more.

This is great! I will be definitely be following this! :)

Great!!!! I'm suscribing! What are the plan of Louisiana concerning their brothers in Québec?

Does the USA have cores on you?

Joseph, Joseph. Come on. Play nice, maybe the Mexicans will like you.

Yeah, this is a very clever way to tell the story of your AAR. I'll be sure to keep reading.
