some of the buildings... say the province has a base tax of 10. At the end of the year you get 10% of this, 1 ducat. add a constable and you get 35% , 3.5 ducats. Compare to a cored province 100%, 10 ducats without a constable and 125%, 12.5 ducats with. the income increases by 2.5 no matter whether it is cored or not.
However a workshop adds a straight 1 ducat so you will only get 35% as opposed to 125% of that one ducat at the end of the year. however you still receive the full amount in your monthly income.

Lets say my ship is docked in a far left province. I know that the ship will cause pirates to not spawn in nearby provinces, but how many provinces to the right can a ship defend?
Does this depend on the type of ship, or how many I have docked in one spot?

Is it true that having 2k Inf in a Lv1 Fort Siege has the same effect as having a 20k Inf, if we don't assault it?

To loot an enemy province, it is enough to stay there for 1 day and get out? If so, is it a good idea to have a small cavalry group, not to fight but just to loot as much as possible in zones where the enemy have no troops? The numbers of the army that loots are important? The loot gain is important enough to compensate all this effort?

    Thanks!

Each zone has it's own range so sometimes a single ship reaches the next zone or even the 2nd one. It doesn't matter what type of ship you use, but if you have multiple ships in one fleet, their "patrol zone" increases.

I'm not sure about your first question. I'd say in the beginning of the game it might be a good idea to go around looting, but once your economy is solid I don't think most people would be bothered.

Well, it's good ducats, I'm afraid there isn't a faster way of doing it.

I can only give a partial answer since I tested this with a single large or small ship, but it seems to be zone within a distance of 50 (more or less) will not spawn pirates. (I don't know if it is exactly 50 since the sea zone distances I tested with aren't quite exactly 50, but it's very close.) Does it scale with the size of navy or with more advanced technology? Don't know.

edit - This was tested with HttT, and the time frame was approximately when the pirates started spawning. I didn't retest at later stages of the game or with larger fleets.

Does exploring land provinces award tradition? If so, is it naval or land? Or is it only sea provinces which award naval tradition when explored?

You need to have at least 1000 men per Fort level for siege to continue. Morale doesnt matter while sieging, only if attacking fort.
Red skull at the bottom marks current attrition rate for the besieger in province.
Again, this is link with EXACT formula for sieges and more info..

multiple reasons combined, some are more or less manipulaple some are not:

    1. money have worth, in peace negotiations based on YEARLY income of country.
    2. maximum war score is 100% for war, combined with 1 giving basic maximum for war
    3. every year's(month's) end they will get more money, so they will replenish some money between and during wars giving false impression they actually had far more money in first place...
    4. point 2. can be modified by good Casus Belli - Tribal Feud, Tribal conquest, trade War CB make you able to demand 2-4 times more gold per negotiation than possbile with most other CBs. They give 50-75% less cost for demand war reparation peace demand..
    5. getting ALL country money by annexing is non-sense, especially so when waging colonial war - see how history worked with Cortez and Aztecs:
He got far more gold by holding Emperor as hostage and making Aztecs themsleves to collect the gold, after they killed him and looted the capitol, most of the gold was hidden away (at least tried to) from conquistadors - unless they surprised the natives(found the hideouts) they took less gold by force then they got by ransom - gold in both cases having more of spiritual/symbolic value to natives..

Generally, country that is completly overtaken by their enemies doesnt really like to give them national treasures [they got plenty time, war was pretty slow in that times]
    If only from spite..

I admit this is not a question about mechanics, sorry for that!

Playing as Austria in the Grand Campaign, I got the mission to conquer Northern Italy- Lombardia and Mantua. I decided to grab Cremona and Brescia in war number one, giving me the possibility to demand Lombardia as a province (it is the capital of Milan, and not having any provinces adjacent to it after war number 1, I get the option to grab the province. Quickly after that, I grabbed Mantua as well so as to fulfill my mission and gain cores. But the problem of Brescia and Cremona remains - both are quite rich provinces, but are non-core, so it gives me .50 infamy per year. Should I

    - keep them anyway. They are rich, and give me access to Mantua and Lombardia
    - conquer the rest of Milan, and release it as a vassal. This would give me 12 badboy (they got Parma, Verona, and Pisa), but a nice vassal helping me out in North Italy.
    - Sell the provinces to get rid of the badboy instantly
    - Complain to Paradox that the Austrian mission is bugged. This would still give me infamy per year.

HA. I had the same problem with Austria as well. Don't release them as a vassal unless you have revoked the cores on the provinces you have cores on (should be Mantua and Lombardia). If your infamy isn't going up then keep them otherwise hire some advisors ASAP to get that infamy down! Selling the provinces is certainly an option but you wouldn't want to lose those nice rich provinces would you?

I've recently played a game in DW with England and got control over the HRE. I got a lot of provinces for free (the infamous bug) but I don't get any "unlawful imperial territory", why? I have my capitol outside HRE and I am Emperor the whole time.

Even though you're the Emperor, you're not a HRE member; only HRE members get this penalty for uncored imperial provinces.

I saw that, I'm on this topic since it began, but I wasn't sure I was interpreting it right. English is nor my first language, I don't know much about math formulas (although it was a simples one) and it's kinda strange that it isn't clearly stated on the wiki text that the army numbers are almost irrelevant (except Art).

I suppose all the new players will do as I did, sending as much men as they can to each siege, to go faster...

Is it possible to add wargoals, like in Vicky 2?

It happens to me quite often that I'm in a war when I get an CB event. I cannot add the objective I got in the CB while making peace, without getting the normal infamy, leaving me to make peace and having to wait years before the truce runs out, if the CB is still available by then at all.

    No. Choose your CB carefully.

This is probably a silly question, but I can't find where on earth my army/navy morale is listed or how I would go about increasing it.
