Got this weird crash when I start up my game, it says: File exception: Exception in: discfile.cpp, line:433. Description: Could not open file: map/default.map
This only happens when I load up the default version (DW 5.1 - Checksum BJLT). Mods work completely fine.

Sounds like I can fix it with a clean reinstall, but I wonder if there are other fixes, because I like to play with mods and don't feel like redownloading and reinstalling though. Will check this thread again tomorrow, else I'll just have to reinstall I guess!

I don't know about the fix, but have you searched the forums and google? Often times an answer can be found by doing that.

Same here. I have it by Steppe Wolf, Terra Universalis, Death and Taxes and Misc mods.

I just bought EU3 Chronicles. I have a question on the settlement policy. I'm playing Spain and I think I enacted one in a conquered province. It seems that because of it I cannot accumulate any settlers; they just disappear right after the show up. Can this policy be removed? I cannot find anyplace where it says i have such a policy, but it is the only thing i can think of that would cause my settlers to disappear.

Thanks.

Just go to the province where you enacted it. There should be a decision to revoke it.
By the way, if they disappear right after they show up, then the problem is something else.

To convert to Sunni simply concede defeat in a war against a Sunni country. There should be an option there to convert religion.

I did, one forum thread, a /vg/ thread and a German thread popped up, but none provided any answers.

Reinstalling right now, will keep you posted! :)

whole game or just mods? Anyway, LOT'S' LOT'S of tanks!

I've just started a new game (1420's) and discovered, that I have turned luck on (historical). Since I REALLY dislike it, is there any way to get rid of it (besides restart ofc)?

Yes - you can edit the savefile. I forget exactly which bit you have to change; someone will doubtless come along shortly and tell us :)

change the .eu3 to .txt then again? IDK.

How can one become a revolutionary republic/empire?
