I know exactly how you feel. Nowadays, whenever I feel the process of Westernization has become too ridiculous (consecutive stab events in a row for example), I'll cheat. It's amazingly frustrating to westernize in DW, even more so than in HTTT.

I like the comic a lot, that's why I always get all my slider ready before making the big move... and also switch to Republic... Changing to republic t westernize makes it SOO much easier.
Mangas Mundi is right up your street, then. xD I highly suggest you mod your game+ buy the MM game when it comes out!
Edit: Ah, I notice in a later post that you have tried MM out before. The reason I probably will never buy DW is because MM is unlikely to ever come out for it, what with the MM game coming out and all. Almost makes me as excited as Professor Layton and Phoenix Write having a game together, or the a new Golden Sun game being annouced. xD
It doesn't play on anything like historical railroads; the gameplay is designed to make it far more believable, though. For instance, in my current Barbant game, I united the Dutch, beat the French, English, Prussians, Ottomans (several times), Burgandians, etc, colonized Florida, much of Africa, and am conquering India, and *still* only sometimes starving off complete anazliation at the hands of greater foes, even though it is already the 1700 hundreds. xD It's fun, and it's not all a historical simulation, though it is more realistic.
