What probably happens each time, when my army is just one day from arriving in a province sieged by some tiny rebel army and the rebels still manage to win the siege:
Those annoying rebels that spawn in a neigbouring country, get defeated there and come to mine, without me getting informed. I only notice them once they take over a province...
Oh my, that's brilliant. So annoying too.
