Paradox IRC chat!
Hey people,
I don´t know if anybody still remembers, but in the olden days of the forum, there used to be a vibrant irc chat room for these boards. They helped me greatly get into the community and the games, and so we shall try again to set something like this up!

For Quick entry, use the quakenet web interface: http://webchat.quakenet.org/

Feel free to drop in for questions about games, off-topic talk or basically anything else you´d like to chat about...maybe we can even resurrect the long-ago FAQ sessions with paradox devs!
Keep in mind that basic forum rules apply, so play nice!

For those of you new to IRC, you need a client first; popular ones are mIRC, Trillian, Opera, Nettalk, irssi...

simply install, input some basic information (basically just a nickname, although some programs require other stuff which doesn´t have to be accurate), connect to the www.quakenet.org server (or lokal ones like se.quakenet.org or de.quakenet.org).

Then tpye /j #pdox and you should be ok!

Since the days of Diablo 2 i havent used an IRC any more,... is it still widly used?
I guessed with the rise of instant messengers and voicechat the IRC chats lost alot of importance. (and users)
