Awesome!! One question, in Mälaren, Södermanland, Sweden. Is it Fogdön on Tosterön that goes out like a penisula?

Neither of those, I didn't know about them until you named them though, so many islands to keep track of that one can't be bothered . The ''peninsula'' is called Södertörn and looks like this: http://www.ab.lst.se/upload/fakta/lanet.jpg - http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...png?uselang=sv

500 years ago the water level was a bit higher, but as I said it is not relevant on a map.

You kept your promise, Finland finally has a lot of lakes. Great, thanks! But I'd have much preferred the screenshots with province borders (and names)

Ok so here is the Far East. In fact it's so far East that it joins the West, that's what you wanted right?

    Wow nice map!
Probably the best ever made for a Paradox game imo.
I like the sea and terrain effects especially.
    Keep it up!

When I first saw the pic I thought WTF ! This map will be pleasure to look and play at

This map is a work of art. It is absolutely beautifull - and a great mix of geographical accuracy and handdrawn charm. And for a game aiming to have a strong element of narrative I think such a mix is really important for the immersion of the player.

I would, however, really like to see the map at maximum zoom in. Could you show us some section of eg. Alaska (from your screenie above) at maximum close-up?

Oh, and I also agree with a previous poster, that inland lakes should perhabs have a different shading/texture than the open sea.

    No more screnshots.

But you can see a close up on Dev Diary #1.
