I hope you're using 1.2, because it kinda nerfed rebels terribly. Plus, US is playable even if you get tons of rebels, there's things called like modifying your game files. Just look in defines.lua, you don't see any super hard codes with 100 brackets and 5 letters in 1 line, instead you have stuff there that you can understand (for example - "YEARS_OF_NATIONALISM" instead of (inc=fnc)31yu6tufhfanjt8327086-780623097^#(*^T4289264613253259800_&)).
You missed a bracket.
Some of us are better at scripting languages than others >_>

Fascists become more popular when a nation has revanchism, so Greece, Serbia and Italy are good candidates

True. I guess you could play OE and never retake your cores, but that's kinda crazy given how easy it is to take them from OE.

I SAW them - I saw the inter-war sprites!!! Ahh... fulfillment.... Still killing communists... a lot of communists. Also it's a bit ridiculous that my upper house is 30% socialist - in the U.S. at the time of the 1st Red Scare.
I am not sure if repression is modeled well in this game - that's what I meant with a national focus point to deal with revolt or some type of slider system. Especially as it was the goal of most governments at the time to stop revolts before they happened. I think strikes could be a welcome addition - have upset pops effect income/ production. Also most revolts should be limited to a region as full-country revolts only happened rarely e.g. 1832 & 1848. Just some thoughts.
But most importantly, I can say I saw the inter-war sprites.

P.S. Thanks RSavage I appreciated your response to Ricox's ridiculous coding post - it was just the answer he deserved. lol

It's an open-play alternate history game, so there is no reason at all that the US wouldn't have a strong socialist movement, or that Russia should be the most liberal country on Earth, for that matter!

I liked how EU2 was based more on history. Yeah you could get some weird outcomes, but if you picked a certain country you knew what style you'd be playing based on its history. With EUIII and Vicky 2 and their focus on alternate history one could ask oneself what is the point of picking one country over another - in the end geography is the main difference (yes I know there are others). Was Victoria 1 more historic like EU2? Don't get me wrong I like EUIII and this game, they've just a different flavor to them.

And I think anarcho liberal Yemen might take the cake. I don't think I could have imagined that one.

It was, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I found it very irritating. Prussia would go to war with France around 1870 no matter how good friends they were, and so on. To each their own

Let's not start the historical determinism vs "sandbox" play debate again. Especially not in this thread, as it's totally off-topic.

You'd think they'd learn.

Half the family joined the revolt and got brutally slaughtered by the army, millions of people dead, mass graves everywhere, nobody cares. The next year the mother and the 14 year old daughter joins the next rebellion, they too get massacred by the army. Left is the 12 year old son and the toddler. And those two will join the rebellion after that.

YOU'D THINK THEY'D LEARN THAT IT DOESN'T WORK, THEY'LL JUST GET THEMSELVES ALL KILLED.:confused::confused:

Yikes.

And then after that, the dog revolts.
