Airforce OOB

Ok, so lets get started with the air force, I found at vojska.net...

This is the Croatian Airforce OOB in 1991...

I did some reaschearch and I can tell you that the Air base in Zagreb should be size 10, Split 10-5 ( in Kašetla ) the one in Zadar ( Zemunik ) 5, and in Pula ( Pola ) 5, Dubrovnik 5 or 3, Osijek 5 or 3 (preferable 3 so that croatia doesent have that much air bases she wont fill with aircrafts anyway), Other smaller airfield not used for traffic, are the ones in Brač, Hvar, Korčula, Krk (these first one are on islands), Varaždin, Slavonski Brod, Lučko and Rovinj,Lučko other very small heliodroms and airfields, are in Lastovo, rab, Pag, Dugi Otok, Lošinj (these first one are on islands), Sinj, Ploče...

About the air force distribution, here it is...

Nice work!

Here is something for the landOOB:

And maybe this:
Adapted OOBs per 25th of June, 1991

Croatia

Croatia was divided into six OZ (Operational zones) in june, 1991, and led from the HQ in Zagreb.

1. OZ "Osijek"
2. OZ "Bjelovar"
3. OZ "Zagreb"
4. OZ "Karlovac"
5. OZ "Rijeka"
6. OZ "Split"

In june, there were four conventional brigades that were manned by proffesional solidiers:

1. ZNG "Tigrovi" | Regular INF
2. ZNG "Grom" | Regular INF
3. ZNG "Kune" | Regular INF
4. ZNG | Regular INF

And by june, the croatian army (HV) absorbed the local defence units composed by reserves, conscripts and volontueers and that became eleven brigades:

100, 101, 105-110 & 112-115. | Militia or garrisons

There were also numerous other smaller units, like:

- Infantry battalions
- AA battalions
- Art battalions
- MP battalions

Hope that you will include the Log Revolution event I created, it's very important in these months before the armed conflicts in Croatia started. ;)

Code:
#############################################
###### Log Revolution!
#############################################
event = {
   id = 1339
   random = no
   country = CRO

   date = { day = 17 month = august year = 1990 }
   offset = 1
   deathdate = { day = 17 month = august year = 1990 }

   name = "Log Revolution"
   desc = "The Log Revolution was an insurrection which started on August 17, 1990 in areas of the Republic of Croatia which were populated significantly by ethnic Serbs. A full year of tension, including minor skirmishes, passed before these events would escalate into the Croatian War of Independence."
   picture = "log_revolution"

   action_a = {
      name = "Tense times..."
     }
}
Cheers. :cool:

Thank for this event. You are missing a closing '}' ;).

The event is outside the scenario timeline. When game starts Knin Krajina and southern Lika are already outside Croatian jurisdiction. I think for now iI won't be including it. Thanks nevertheless for the effort.

If you are looking to create an info events try using something like this:
Code:
#############################################
###### Log Revolution!
#############################################
event = {
   id = 1339
   random = no

   tag = { CRO SER BOS } #... anyone who would like to read about this event
   trigger = { ai = no }    # ...  make sure AI doesn't get it
   persistent = yes

   date = { day = 17 month = august year = 1990 }
   offset = 1
   deathdate = { day = 17 month = august year = 1990 }

   name = "Log Revolution"
   desc = "The Log Revolution was an insurrection which started on August 17, 1990 in areas of the Republic of Croatia which were populated significantly by ethnic Serbs. A full year of tension, including minor skirmishes, passed before these events would escalate into the Croatian War of Independence."
   picture = "log_revolution"

   action_a = {
      name = "Tense times..."
     }

Also, 'Log revolution' might be considered by Serbs a derogative name for uprising. Any Serbs following this thread to confirm?
Also description is incorrect, many other significantly populated Serb areas remained mainly quiet for another year. Sorry to nitpick :rolleyes:.

There are some examples of info events in /db/events/misc.txt. If you wish to improve those, anything from description, add similar events... whatever you like...

Thank you, alright. I will take a good look at the misc.txt to see if I can maybe improve some things. ;)

How are you doing with that Presidency vote chain?
Ooo I made some nice progress,currently researching some stuff, gonna post some code this evening.

Cheers. :cool:

Hogar did you add all military leaders for Croatia that was implemented to our Arma version? I have also seen that you have added some new ones, are they real historical leaders or some random generated leaders with Croatian name? And one more question, did you change for some military leaders the picture from colored to black and white?

I've added loads of them but we should have be few more. I've concentrated on brigade leaders.
I don't think I've changed any existing photo but if I have added any it was black and white.

Transport ships for Croatia:

250px-Jadrolinija_logo.svg.png

Jadrolinija

Jadrolinija is a Croatian sea shipping company. It is a state-owned company and its main mission is connecting Croatian islands to the mainland by operating regular passenger and cargo transport services. The company mainly operates car ferries on domestic routes along the Croatian coast, as well as international routes across the Adriatic Sea to Italy (to ports at Ancona and Bari).

Jadrolinija currently operates a fleet of 56 vessels: it has four large ferries named Dubrovnik, Marko Polo, Liburnija and Zadar which are used on long range and international routes, 37 smaller ferries used for local passenger service, eight catamarans, one hydrobus and five conventional ships. The fleet's total carrying capacity is 3,600 vehicles and 27,540 passengers. In 2007 Jadrolinija transported a total of 9.4 million passengers and 2.4 million automobiles.

Jadrolinija was founded in Rijeka on 20 January 1947 as a continuation of various smaller shipping companies which had operated along the Croatian coast since 1872.

We should check their web-page to see for more information.

What do you think that we use this as transport ships for the Croatian navy? We have also got some good names when building ships. We should maybe also add some buy-ship events?

Good find!
At this point I have done nothing to implement navy. Apart from first days of war it wasn't used.
I am sure we'll do something later so this will come handy. I am pretty sure army used ferries to transport troops but I don't recall any naval invasion in the war.

Buying of weapons (all kind) is managed through cost of building and time of building. More dependant a country is on purchase more expensive it gets to 'build' unit. This is universal for all units in the game. Hence Bosnia gets time and cost sliced off some land units because they have knowledge and factories to build them. Others she must buy so it is expensive. Check industry events.

Sava was navigable up to Sisak until mid 90's. Neglect and drop of economic activity caused the river to become clogged. I wouldn't worry too much although I do know of small armed river boats going down Kupa river as well (river going left from Sisak on the map). I remember seeing few of those boats in the 90's resting in the old harbour on Kupa river. These boats had crew of few man (single digit) so they can hardly make into the game. There are other things we could be asking for from Gukan...

I've noticed wrong names for Rijeka and Pula bays but I couldn't care enough to change them. Kvarner seems in the right place. Pula bay should be where Rijeka bay is and Rijeka bay renamed after island to the south (Cres/Losinj), right?

Alright we can skip that. I still haven't PM'ed Gukan, will hopefully do it soon but I want first to find all things we would ask him if he could fix.

Okay I shall fix that.

Do you know how to fix this?

Weird! No idea. Start game as YUG/CRO and see if you can put a fleet into the port.
Otherwise it is an issue with the map. Gukan thing to fix.

I tried what you said but it seems there is no (mini)port on Lastovo. For example the province of Blato as you can see on the map doesn't have any large port but it does have this beach where the ships can enter but this beach symbol doesn't exist on Lastovo. Is it possible to add it in the scripts or must this be fixed by Gukan?
