I like NF like they are, but only for a little country. If my country is bigger (like à GP), the power of NF is already so diluted that I don't really saw the point to use it or I perpetually change my focus to cover all my country. I would like to have your opinion about a possible Country Focus, that could be for promoting a certain thing in all the country (like cleric), but diulated equally between every States (I think especially of bureaucrats and clergy). Like that, you could have a more homogeneous country without destroying the smaller State focus specific effect. We could even make National Focus work like the Theatre in HoI3, by adding and removing States manually. I think the game could manage that.

The other thing, in a similar meaning, that I would like, is a great campaign event that shift all the country. I understand communications were not like today, at this time, but when you have a big country, it's not funny to have some region you can never influence with your radical or less radical choices. Another time, this event could be more diulated, but maybe a little more powerful than a national focus in its effects.

Well, this was in my mind for a long time. What do you think of this?

I utterly agree. Perhaps a CF would require something like 2 or 3 NF points and be a bit diluted. I'd also like a NF option to influence your chosen ideology (sort of like propaganda).

About the number of NF for a CF, this is a good idea. However, what I dislike with a NF to influence the ideology of my people is that this bypass the events ans their polarization. You can also have in this case, if you doesn't change their issues, an absurdity like a free trader, against government intervention, moralist, jingoist socialist. This is why I would prefer to have a Country Event instead of an Ideological Focus. The problem with my idea is that is strange for a Russian Siberian (for example) to be concerned about a proposition made at Moscow and about what it is unsure he will heard about it before voting.
