Brazil should start in a civil war. Remember that the war of the farrapos happened from 1835-1845 in the south of Brazil and at the same time a war in Grao Para in the north. Both were states seeking independence from Brazil, historically they were both put down, but they should be happening as they corelate with the beggining of the game. Or at least make them releasable nations that would be cool too.

Also a question wasn't Uruguay a part of the Brazilian Empire for a long time? I remember teachers saying that to me in Brazilian history when I was little, but it's been a while

Are you brazilian?

Well, the Uruguayan province "Cisplatina province" was part of the brazilian Empire 'till 1828. Then it became independent as Uruguay.

:D nice! Getting back to the point. Brazil didnt assert its authority within South America or within it's own country until the Tripple Alliance War in the 1860s. Before that Brazil was much in turmoil in foreign and internal affairs. This should translate to gameplay, but it's lacking.
