Nope, I had studied your files and then tried to implement it into AHD. It worked after some adjustments, but unfortunately still missing your lighter fog of war.

Small Update:

A User of this mod confirmed that it is compatible with Victoria 2 - Version 1.3 (without the AHD Expansion)

I can't download the AHD version for this mod. Can someone upload it to another host or something?

I want to try this out since I heard it will make the game run faster on computers with slow GPU's. Is this correct?

Edit: I think Gamefront have deleted the file. They do that if a file isn't downloaded once every 60 days. :/

If Alexspeed doesnot protest you can found it here. Place it in "Your game\mod\SiR\gfx\FX\" (overwrite). Make backup before.

Sure, if it still works youre welcome, please link it here if you do.

But take into account that this mod isnt in development any more since a good while.
There might be issues with patches or game updates, the latest tested release was with Victoria 2 - Version 1.2

What exactly was changed in the mod? Was there some serious re-working of the entire code in the file? or was just a few lines changed? If the latter, could you maybe look at it (puppydog eyes) should HoD break it?

Writing to confirm this (seems to) work without a problem in HoD

It wasnt very big changes, about 10-20 lines or so if i recall corectly. But alot of trial and error to find the right values.
It is all documented right in this thread in post number 3

Update 20-05-2013:

I changed and updated the download link in the first post to my personal Dropbox storage,
this should gurantee the aviability of the Download for the forseeable future (hopefully).

There have been no changes to the content of the mod.
