Hello forumites,

For every player, the research is a fundamental part of the fun. Technologies that allow you to target your capacity depending of your nation and objectives, giving new possibilities and relating technologies to achieve further improvements.

Therefore, the new tech tree is undoubtedly one of the great strengths of the Iron Cross.

More than 800 technologies to investigate give the player a realism never seen before to help you develop and advance your nation. The historic year is 'something' of the past and never again will guide your research. The Iron Cross gives you the freedom to invest your efforts on what you really need or want.

This new system will improve the nation since the 30's until the postwar era, offering the player a different decision-making in each branch. Always leaving the choice of 'what' and 'when' to investigate into the player's hands.

All branches are completely new, based on actual developments of the war period. The branches of doctrines have been specially designed to offer an unprecedented historical depth.

To complete the new research system a lot of new tech teams have been added for all nations of the game.

Something never seen in previous versions of HoI2

Would be nice if we got small bonus from neighbours in each technology already researched by them (like in EU2) depended on espionage too.
BTW In AoD I can just reduce penalty of pre-historical year to 0 and get the same result.

Very interesting development canarias, keep the good work! ;)
I am convinced that behind this new preview we will find lot of extra and improved game challenges. You will have a ¨panzer division¨ of loyal supporters for this new HOI2-Iron Cross expansion... I am already the first one. :D

800? How many does HoI2DDA have?

In other words, this should be interesting. Thanks! :)

Awesome!!! :D :D

Hello;

Well I will try to answer to all the questions. Please, excuse my bad english ( and possible confusions), because it isn't my first language:(. The original announcement has been done by Daboo, our specialist in the Shakespeare language.

Some new teams have been created, and others have been changed. This has been done to better adapt the Tech.Teams to the New Tech Tree. Schmeisser is certainly overpowered, but germany needs a lot of "land" research teams to achieve his technological challenge. The same can be apply, by example to the US industrial research teams, or the naval for the japaneese.

I'm sure that all the fans of Quintelosky's Mod34 have recognize the tech tree. It's like Mod34 tree, but revised, corrected and expanded. The " Techno-Arrows" application has also been revised and adapted. This will be a good tool for newbies and experimented players in this Tech System.
I think that Paradoxians Forumites are among the most intelligent people in the net;), so I can imagine you will understand if I say you that Quintelosky will be very occupied with this new project and cannot give all the attention he wants to Mod34.
