[Flags] Flags of Fascism

United Russia sounds too modern to me. IMO, the name sounds like it originated as a result of the fall of the Soviet Union, and a party with such a name seeks to restore the former republics under Russian rule.

United Russia actually seeks to steal as much money from budget as possible :P The name might sound fascist but in reality it is as very very far from fascist. The colour scheme of the flag is really really cool, but different logo instead of current bear is preferable.

Maybe a black version of St. Andrew's flag could be somewhat cool but I think that's already used by Scotland, no?

Hey, folks. Sorry for the slight Threadnomancy, but I've been working on a number of flags, and felt like adding to the Russian discussion (since I, too think the RUS_fascism flag is rather crap).

What I created were two alternate flags based upon the symbols of two prominent Russian fascist organizations during the 1930's: RFO, and RFP. Both symbols feature swasticas, so those parts are right out, but I tried melding the yellow diamond of the one group with the blue-red-white of the other.

Why can't the Swastika be in the game? I am no fascist (my country was ruled by a fascist) whatsoever but I think it makes more realism. I think it is dumb for that in Hearts of Iron.

I suspect it's because if the game had depictions of the swastika then it couldn't be sold in Germany. And since the game is digitally distributed, I imagine they want to keep all versions the same.

true, you are a smart fellow. In Spain there are no laws against the old Franco, but here people hate that era. If you travel to Germany, you will feel very creepy. There was a poll there that 1/10 of them want another fuhrer like figure to rule the country. The place is just creepy. THat is why the USA keep 50,000 troops there jajajjaa

I REALLY like the left one. Maybe we should fill it with another simple symbol? A simple black cross perhaps?

This ones are good, but it is not kind of flags, Russian fascists would use. They ideology is usually connected with one of the periods of Russian history. Ones who like the Russian Empire use black-yellow-white flag, Russian Navy flag, double-headed eagle etc., likers of the Soviet Union (national bolsheviks) use hammer and sickle. Some ones, who like pre-Peter times, can use kolovrat (like here) or ortodox symbols, but it's not popular among nazi.

Well, it's fascists rather than Nazis we are talking about.
What about black-white-yellow with a kolovrat in the middle in the same style as those flags?
Otherwise, we can't really know what they would use, especially an official flag.

It can be good, but it's often used with white-red-black tricolor. I did some flags that could be good for Vicky:

Whilst I like the second one (it would be my first choice), I fear the emblem might smack just a weeeee bit swastika-like.

I really like the look of all your flags, the russian drafts of a black-red-white one was awesome!

But I think the swedish vanilla flag already is perfect, as seen in my avatar. It contains a very classical icon of fascist/national socialist groups in sweden, Vasakärven. I'm not dissing your flags, they are great, but personally I like the vanilla version better. It is a swastika, I don't know why people are saying "it doesn't look enough like a swastika to be an issue" -- a kolovrat is a type of swastika (some neo-pagans would take issue with this, but even they would accept that they are related). Viz. Shenfield in Russian Fascism: "Third, there was a specialized organization called "Kolovrat" [Swastika], led by Konstantin Nikitenko ..."

I do like the fourth suggestion though, though perhaps with the eagle from the first as someone before me said.

Personally, I like Magc8Ball's yellow diamond on a black circle, but I think the tricolor needs a different scheme -- maybe white-black-yellow?
