Scotland looks to be in trouble, frankly, their neighbors seem stronger than them.
That's Bavaria, I tried to imply as much in the text. I'll be following that war.
Oh and doughty... Had to check Merriam-Webster there. Pretty cool to learn an English word I didn't know, doesn't happen to me too often anymore.
True also.Same goes for the French implosion after partial unification.
Yeah, I like that too. In my opinion it's always a sign of an interesting region developing when you have a good bunch of medium to rather large sized nations emerging instead of blobs and minors. It is good to see Poland, Brandenburg, Bohemia and Austria expanding without biting down hard on each other.
You're correct that Spain is the main threat, head and shoulders above the rest really. In the long term I'd put the Netherlands second because they have very good numbers and money in addition to already having a foothold (shown in the next update). Portugal is something to worry about in the short term, but their severe lack of manpower should give me opportunities to bleed their armies dry. I'm hopeful that I'll be in a position to handle any nations that haven't started colonizing yet.
All in all, I'd say there's been a good amount of consolidation and/or staying intact in most areas.
