Come in, come all! I joined WPO about a month ago, and I'm finally enjoying my true quality long-term MP sessions! I joined as Nat. China and I'm having a blast. WPO guys seems to be quality and steady folks, with lots of experience in MP. Our host is top-class, and all the WPO veterans I met so far are patient and considerate.

I'm currently involved in the THURSDAY Game (7:30 p.m. Pacific Time; 10:30 Eastern Time) (changed form Tuesday to Thursday!) and we need new players to join the fun! Please note that you don't need to be an AOD God to join in - you just need to love the game! We need lots of players to help as Minors - we have powerful Minors that need love and care. Also we need players to fill in when some Majors are MIA.

Also please note that even as a Minor you'll see lots of action - full-on war is raging in Europe, and with Military Control you can end up with lots of DIVs to control. As a 40 IC Nat China I military-control Yunnan and Tibet (and the Communist CHinese before they died) for a total of over 100 DIVs. We also have private forums (where secret discussions about world-control happens).

Human players are needed to manage the following (note that these are all Minor powerhouses in our game):
Axis: Nat. Spain or Hungary or Yugoslavia
Allies: Brazil (South America)

and also whenever a Major player is MIA (missing in action).

Also to join our game you need to be registered with WPO - the easy usual process.

Finally, feel free to join even as a try-out: if you don't like it, or cannot play the full session, no worry, the game goes on - we just think 'the more the merrier'!

the Japanese puppet state of China-Nanking which now owns most of China is also available. and it looks like the germany player is dropping out so you may end up playing a major if you sign up fast XD.

Think he was referring to china-nanking, the japanese mainland puppet state of china. Manchukuo has decent IC but for the entire game has been at 10 effective IC due to no resources and Japan itself barely has any rares so they're not the best nation to play.

Sealion with the entire axis navy including all japanese capital ships just failed in 1940 due to some miscommunication errors but we may be replaying that scenario a week before it starts cuz of some issues we had so if you want a chance to launch a successful UK invasion in a MP game join now!
 
Sinkiang is goner. Axis allied with them early in the game, but UK and Nationalist China did them in quickly. It now reverted to its original homeland of Nationalist China, where it belonged in the first place. :p (Man! China has LOTS of cores in Asia...)
 
I've never played online and don't know how too, but I do love this game. :)

Yeah, that's the fun of it, the AI is generally *stupid* at the moment and multi-player is appealing. Can I join this game? Do I have to register anywhere?
 
hum well i regersted there just haven't sign in yet well i have to check it out sometime. just wordering who to play.
What about south American minors. Mexico. I would like to be something in good postion.....Well i check it out.

I see also you post in the general forums... Do try MP if you want 'realism'. Nothing like it. In our game, there were wild speculations regarding Barbarossa in '40; it turned out it was Sea Lion. :wacko: *Nuts!*

About who will play which country, it depends on who shows up Tuesday. We lost the Germany player (new job starting) so we'll see Tuesday. Everyone who joins will get to play something, depending on the game balance. Seniority also matters. But this IS a world at war, with North Africa, Persia and China in flames, and Europe under the Axis boots, so we need players!

About who will play what, also there's some MP chat issues - problem with routers and such - that we'll need to verify first. Some peeps cannot read nor write to others in MP game chat - a weird bug that we're working on, but we couldn't find a solution yet. So we also have to see to whom you can game chat with.

I would join but the war plan orange website seems to take ages to register on, I've registered a few days ago but I still can't access it.

I never got my confirmation email from WPO, but Brother Lobo (the evil Allied player who coaxed me into becoming Axis meatgrind) said I should try to log in anyway, which I did, and it worked. To make it short: try logging in anyway, it might work.

Yesterday we had Socialist Rebel, Bob Saget, Radattack and Victor that joined us to have a taste of the game... Thanks guys!

We're at the end of August 40, the map is pretty insane, with an Axis Ireland, both Gibraltar and Suez closed by Axis forces, liberated Axis Saudi Arabia, Kurdistan, Israel, and what else? 2 Chinas warring in Asia...

Last session saw the Axis breaking through the Persian front and achieving limited success there, while USA is committing units in battle as they are produced, plugging holes everywhere... USSR is nervously watching from the sidelines wondering when the Barbarossa hammer will fall on him. The Philippines fell to Japan, and the Chinese front is half frozen, with limited attacks on both sides, and the first Chinese counter-offensive of the game stopped after limited gains. Japan was able to sail back from the Atlantic to Tokyo, unscathed by Allied patrols, following a Sea Lion attempt last session of which much have been written... ;) Furious battles in Persia almost saw the Allies units there encircled and destroyed by a flanking Axis panzer trust, but 'steady nerves' prevailed and everyone was sound and safe after a strategic retreat... The Axis is at India's door...

At one point we were 10 in the game yesterday, there's much to do, lots of aligned minors that need to be active and played by human players. Feel free to show up next Tuesday! We entrust countries to people based on seniority.
 
Yea too bad that i think 10 is the limit on gameranger! Good game i am SocialistRebel by the way... I am checking out the war plan orange fourms and i be here next tuesday hopefully to lead a good brazil that is who i am right know... just to tell the others it is a crazy game and very slow do to massive fronts and huge battles. But very funny... I loved my first session and can't wait until the next....
