There is German localisation in the files, but I do not know how complete it is.
Nostalgia is not as good as it used to be
Thanks for the answer. Otherwise i'll try the English version shouldn't be a problem but mother tongue is easier of course![]()
I want to change my game from German to English. How do I do it?
In the settings.txt change language=l_german to language=l_english
About the german version of this game:
Well, incomplete
But try this fix: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/...d.php?t=492225
It contains more than 250 fixes concerning the german translation of Victoria 2
So, plz King or someone else: include these fixes in your next Victoria 2 patch...
Thanks for your help, guys.
However, I'm afraid it's not working for me. I still get everything in German (and what a sloppy German localisation that is. Paradox ought to have a word with whomeve's responsible.). Anyone got an idea what I ought to try next?
http://www.site-werk.de/EUIII/!Deuts...ektur_VIC2.csv
Right click on the file/Save as.
Then move this file into your Victoria 2 folder/localisation.
And it has been updated now too. It contains 350 fixes now...
But I don't want to play it in German anyway. I prefer playing the original version. Thanks though.![]()

Hi guys i cant seem to get it to change langauge either.
though my problem lies in that it will not alow me to save the changes i make in the .txt file.
it always says that the file is wright protected.
Then make it not write protected.
right click on the file, click on Properties (Eigenschaften in german)
and click the write protected thing away.
Then try it again.
However, i dont see how your file became write protected O.o
maybe Windows is messing around in the program files folder.

Nope still comes up with "zugrif verweigert" access denied.
any more ideas?
Right-click on settings.txt and open as Administrator
For future installs: Do never ever install games in the program files folder.

I have now managed to edit the file but still have everything in german
Thanks for the help so far though!
The translations that PI does, are ridiculous and not acceptable.

I wanted to do the same, found it on my own and did change it to language=l_english. But its still german.
