Chapter One Hundred
The update starts in the usual manner, there’s a revolt in Jiangsu. But there’s no point wasting time…
War with Japan - February 1790
Japan has no allies but I was warned by Milan and Castile. I expect to annex OPMs Japan and Milan in this war and push Castile hard in the Americas. Mainland Iberia looks barely defended, the screenshot shows the Castilian army lined up on the Mexican border instead. There’s no revolt at the news although Xishuan Banna converts! Maracaibo does revolt in March even though the early exchanges have gone well.
Peace with Japan - March 1790
The most easterly non-Horde settlement is now Cyprus. After the relative quiet of the last few months April erupts in rebellion; Charcas, Kii, Curacao, Dendi and Alicante. May’s a bit better with only three uprisings; Ilheus, Maracaibo and Quijos.
Battle of Atakapa - June 1790
This has been the only battle of real note so far. I had dreadful rolls so my General just about saved the army from destruction. Lipan and Chiquitas rebel at the news. By July it’s time to expand the fighting…
War with Venezuela - July 1790
Marches, Peten and Tadimekket revolt.
Simplifying the map - 25th August 1790
Changsha cores as September starts. Caracas, Tlaxcala and Huichol revolt that month as does Peten soon after.
Milan annexed - October 1790
Trent converts; the modern Horde seems to be letting standards slip. Brakna revolts in November, a thousand rebels camped outside a Level 5 fortress are not a concern. Brunei cores in December.
Gabu and Arica greet 1791 with rebellion. I also get the ‘Corruption’ event and take the 3 points of inflation option rather than losing a level of stability. Panic ensues in February when there’s a French uprising on St Helena… Calm resumes as it’s one regiment of rebels and a level two fortress. Cumbria and Gobir rebel in March - in Cumbria the rebels are Mexican nationalists
Peace with Canada - April 1791
Peace with Great Britain - April 1791
I’m still at war with the USA and Quebec but without borders in common I expect the war to end soon. Yavapai rebels. Achaea cores in May and Wolof rebels. The Summer and Autumn see rebellions in Barbados, Uruguay, Tlaxcala, Zacatecas, Navajo, Salinan and Ulster. November starts with four cores in Southern India and it’s time for peace with Castile. My armies in the Americas have completely ran short of infantry and are bogged down in siege races against the Castilians trying to reclaim occupied provinces.
Peace with Castile - November 1791.
This is a far from ideal treaty but it does put a lot more land in my hands and sets me up for the next round of wars. Another minor in North America means more diplomatic possibilities. Kachin converts and there are revolts in Lincoln, Connaught and Bungo. December brings a wave of cores in former Mutapan lands. There are also uprisings in Friuli, Caracas, Tumbes and Cumana.
January 1792 and four more cores arrive courtesy of some long forgotten victory over the French. Belize and Shinano revolt.
War with Sweden - February 1792
There’s a series of revolts throughout the spring and into summer; Galicia, Braganca, Musashi, Glamorgan, Chaco Boreal, Sayultecas, Wichita, Guachichil, Tlingit, Damagaram, Tangiers and Pehuenmapu.
By June my American stacks have mostly rebuilt and I’ve transferred one of the three 32 regiment stacks from Iberia to Louisiana.
War with Haiti - June 1792
Haiti was allied to Cherokee and France and guaranteed by Portugal and Castile. That is not the war leader I expected! The predictable revolts this month are in Mojave, Schwyz, Chiquitos and Huanuco.
Berg converts at the end of July. I accept a white peace offer from the USA ending the Venezuelan war. September has rebellions in Tumbes and Comanche.
Peace with France - September 1792
France is now an OPM! The province next to Alaska is the last non-Horde province on the west coast of North America. The next month brings rebellions in Eidsiva, Oeiras and Arapahoe. Sayultecas rebels in October and then December brings revolts in Omaha and Arkansas.
Friuli and Worms convert in Spring 1793. Karankawa rebels in February and Tonkawa a month later.
Peace with Sweden - May 1793
Made a bit of a mess of the screenshot here but I’ve grabbed another chunk of West Africa and Sweden’s remaining Caribbean possessions. Over the summer there are rebellions in Brakna, Tehuelmapu, Idah, Barinas, Barbados, Yorkuts, Campeche and Charcas.
Haiti is annexed in September.
War with Gotland - October 1793
Aleut, Harima and Fernando Po revolt during the month. November brings rebellions in Verona and Copiapo. The year ends with the conversion of Hsenwi.
- Vs. Cherokee, Portugal and Castile I’m at +42 war score
- Vs. Sweden and Gotland I’m at +23 war score
Rebel Count = 6142 (+82)
Rebels = 29,383,000 (+212,000)
