    i just purchased this mod and installed it. But it will not work for me. It goes to the main menu; i choose a country it starts the set up and then crashes to windows. What am I doing wrong?

    do you have the right checksum without the DLC selected?

    Have you got the latest patch installed? That sounds like the bug running the older CW patch on 3.05 FtM, and my checksum is KXZE.

    i went and checked and the UBYY checksum is the latest. Is there a beta out?

    UBYY might be the FtM checksum (I haven't checked), but when you start up with a mod the checksum will be different. You have selected the mod in the start window drop box, haven't you?

    yes I was doing that but my checksum is DBAQ.

    what am I doing wrong?

    Proper install order should be:

    HoI3 + Semper Fi + For the Motherland

    FtM 3.05 patch

    Common Weapons

    CW 2.1 patch

    Have you missed any steps? It sounds like you haven't installed the common weapos patch 2.1, the 2.0 version was incompatible with For the Motherland 3.05 and would crash during the loading screen after selecting a country.

    yes I have installed that patch. I reinstalled it just now a couple of times and still get the same checksum.
    I have installed lots of patches in the past and have had little difficulties but I cannot see what I am doing wrong here. Should i consider doing a complete reinstall?

    If the checksum is coming out wrong, it may be worth a fresh install. To be honest, I'm not sure what else could be causing it if you've installed both Common Weapons and the CW 2.1 patch after the 3.05 patch.

    i have done a full reinstall but now it will not install the 2.1 patch. It is saying that I do not have "permission" to install the patch. Does this have something to do with Gamersgate?

    Extract the files to a new folder then copy & paste over CW.

    Thanks Devildread for this wicked mod. I figured it out after a while of screwing around with it. Made every mistake I possibly could, and read this whole damn 34 page forum. Now it works LOL

    thanks for your help. I figured out what was wrong. Some how the folder permissions had changed. Once I turned on full control I had no problems with the patches.

    Guys, i know at this point DIG and Common weapons are not compatible, but i think many fans would like to see those additional fancy Units from common weapons in DIG, so can someone MOD it or does it exist already?

    Hello,

    we are using common weapons in our current MP game. It's my first game with this mod, so I'm a little lost.

    I'm playing the soviet union. How should I design my brigades ? For Infantery I'll stick to the usual 3xINF + 2xArt, but the new support brigades seems rather good too. And about my armored divisions, should I add some of the new support brigades ? (usualy I go for 3 Arm + 2 SP-Art or Eng). And what about heavy fighters, do you thing I should use those instead of regular Interceptors ?
    I saw that I can research NKVD brigades, are they improved MP or a new support brigade ?

    What is going on in Scapa Flow? I have taken over UK but there are Brits still in there. Have 4 german divisions in Wick out of Supply but not so Brits in SF it seems. How do I get rid of them, everytime I attack I lose a lot of org despite up to date techs. They keep attacking me too, damm annoying.
