OTTOMANIA MOD & MODULAR PACK
Introduction:
I am intending to work on and release an Ottomania Mod with all things Ottoman as well as an Ottomania Modular Pack compatible with all other mods. The idea is to add Ottoman flavor and related content to Victoria II for a geography which is usually somewhat neglected since Europa Universalis. I am aware that we have strong names like OHGamer on the team, which makes me hopeful that the Janitschar faction we see on alpha screenies are properly renamed but as experienced from previous games, there will ALWAYS be room for improvement. This mod and the modular pack aims to fill in those gaps, wherever they may be, and provide Ottoman flavored names, graphics, events, etc.
Ottomania Mod is a stand alone mod which you can install like any other mod and play. Ottomania Modular Pack on the other hand is intended to be compatible with vanilla Victoria 2 and all other mods out there like V2IP as it doesn't change any significant game file by itself.

- Caucasian Emirate (1828–1859)
- Circassia (independent tribal fed. completely subjugated by Russians in 1864)

+ Added new cores to Ottoman Empire in Hedjaz, Basrah Vilayet and Fezzan.
+ Tunis and Serbia are now Ottoman vassals as they should be. Serbia remains in Russian sphere.
+ Added Red Sea ports of Suakin, Massawa and Assab in Ottoman Empire as they were in 1836.
+ Egypt accurately starts in war with Nejd, Hedjaz and Yemen.
+ Added 22 new party and faction names for Ottoman Empire that change in time.
+ Ottoman Empire starts the game with Conservative "Hukumet-i Humayun" in power (Janitzchars are now officially history).
+ Fixed the resources for a few Ottoman provinces (Cotton & Tobacco)
+ Added accurate navy and army names for the Ottomans.
+ Added Albanian, Masriqi (Arab), Kurdish and Sephardic as secondary cultures for Ottoman Empire.
+ Some province names in the Ottoman Europe now have their historical Ottoman names.
+ Fixed localisation text files.
+ Fixed the life ratings bug for Eastern & Central Anatolia
+ Political parties added for Syria and Lebanon
+ 20 new flags for different regimes of the new nations and rebels

- Province name overhaul in Balkans, Anatolia & Middle East with official Ottoman names.
- Ottoman Ship names ~ with their proper names and spelling.
- Ottoman Army and unit names.
- Ottoman Events ~ both historic and flavor events (non deterministic, so player will be given a number of options with multiple outcomes)

The playable nations of Circassia and the Caucasian Imamate are visible on the map as well as the initial rebel nations I have released from Ottomans and from Egypt: Syria, Lebanon and Kurdistan. You see the Kurdish army on the top image.

This is a beta version of the Mod and is not finaliezed. I am releasing it for feedback only.
- Victoria II is still having problems with mod directory, therefore the mod folder is not working as intended.
- Game files reject certain modifications and they must be manually copied on original locations [BACKUP!]
- The mod will overwrite some of original files in yuor history dir (provinces & Diplomacy)
- You need the original Victoria II for this mod to work.

Installation:

- BACKUP your original Victoria 2 files [History & Common files to be specific]! I cannot stress this enough.
- Unzip the contents into your Mod directory under Victoria 2 folder.
(C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Victoria 2\Mod\).
- You would have to manually copy and paste the contents of the province folders into their original Victoria 2 destination.
- Now delete the province data which you have copied inside the mod folder.
- Do the same procees for history/wars and history/diplomacy folders and delete those from the mod dir after you copied them.
