Has anyone taken on this mod and continued to develop it or is it well dead at the moment?

I guess the bulk of the Rome mod players are with Epigoni right now. I guess mods*from the rest of Paradox games are really affected by the Magna Mundi comparison effect; that is, they are born too ambitious, have great ideas and there are great modders behind, but whether it is for the small community compared with the EU3 one or for the own Rome limitations they are all abandoned. Then, it seems that the best way to keep the modding community alive has been the "recompilation" way, so picking some small interesting mods and merging them. I think this is pretty much the way Epigoni was born, and is still well alive and interesting at the moment. I've read your thread in the general forum and you have very interesting ideas, if you decide to go on this modding way you can try to start small, developing a minor fix, then adding more features, but always having in mind your modding goals and be sure they are not too far and ambitious. And waiting for a second definite Rome expansion to be announced, that if well done may be a tipping point in the series and also in the modding community. :D

I agree, merging existing mods is a good start. I wouldn't say Epigoni is one of those compilations, though. Hardradi made all of the included mods himself, so he's as much of a solo guy as I am. ;) If I could go back to the start (with all the free time I had back then), I would have worked like him: Finishing small projects one by one, and then finally merge them. Thanks for your interest btw.
