Recently we have had a massive influx of first time authors. That's a good thing.
However, the sudden proliferation of AARs has made the job of reading and commenting that much more difficult, especially for us veterans. This is bound to lead to some concern over lack of prompt feedback and response. The easiest way to remedy this is to visit other threads and post your own comments. The further you network yourself, the more contacts you'll make.
Over the past year I have attempted to instill a sense of community on this forum. That sense of community obviously extends to all new authors. I strongly encourage you to add to this fellowship of writers to help it grow and thrive.
To that end we have created two new initiatives.
The bAAR, courtesy of Rictus, is a place where the writer can settle down for a drink, swap gossip, recommend favourite AARs, and get to know one another.
The SolAARium is an extension of The bAAR. It deals with matters pertaining to the written word and other such associated subjects.
I invite eveyone to take advantage of these institutions, and at the same time make sure you visit:
AARland, AARtiFAQs, OscAARs and the LibrAARy - Revised, Newcomers Please Read!
Relax, talk, debate, and above all, enjoy.
Write On,
LD
Note: This post will be added to the AARland thread.
Comments are always welcome...
