I always play with the historical event notifiers as popups, so that I can keep track of what is going on with the different countries. Unfortunately in CORE the ship completion announcements are categorized as historical events, so the early game is just littered with those announcements, which I really don't need to see after the 1st time around.

Is there a way to code those into another less used category so that they can be turned off? Its not a huge annoyance, but it would be nice not to have to see them.

A temporary solution would be to turn the historical events popups off for the first week and then reactivate them to display on screen. You can change the display settings for a popup by right clicking them.

I don't think you will see them being changed to another category.
