So is the Persian goal annexation of Anatolia? Or which territory are the necromancers seeking?

I could see wanting Anatolia. The tough, hardy hill infantry will make tough, hardy zombies.

Foels is being very close-mouthed; not so much as a moaning battle-cry of "Braaiiinnsss..." has been heard from the east. I expect he wants whatever parts of Anatolia he can lay his hands on. It may also be the case that he seeks to reduce Byzantium to non-viability, after which he'll presumably snap up whatever else he can get in the ensuing partition. The bulwark of Christendom stands on the brink, and casts defiance into the abyss! Although we may be defeated, we shall not surrender. If we should fall, we have only this to say to our brothers in faith: Look your walls be strong.

Treaty of Nicaea

Recognising that the necromantic threat to the lawful affairs of Christendom takes precedence over local conflicts,

desiring peace within the domains of the True Faith,

asserting their unity in the face of the savage infidel, and

placing their fate in the care of the Lord of Hosts, Whose hand is outstretched over those who do battle in his cause,

the sovereign Imperium Romaion and the Commonwealth of Croatia do hereby agree to the following:

  • That neither party shall attack the other, nor their allies or vassals, nor rebels against their rule except to aid in restoring order.
  • Those Komnenoi who have become vassals of the King of Croatia, or who may from time to time lawfully become so in the future, shall be confirmed in their domains, and not removed from their posts. If however any such Komnenos shall die, and his heir be a vassal of the Roman Emperor, then his lands shall be returned to the Croatian crown, to be placed under the stewardship of a Komnenos scion sworn to that realm.
  • In similar wise, if any other land should by inheritance come under the rule of the Croatian King, or of the Roman Emperor, that previously was held of the other party, it shall be returned; although without the requirement that it return to the same family that previously held it.

This peace and treaty shall last until 1399, at which time Christ will return and the world will end, and all temporal obligation with it; and therefore it were impious to make treaties lasting further than this year.

Signed by the Roman Emperor.

KoM is utterly screwed unless Russia comes in to save the day. Either he will lose land to Persia or be subjugated come EU3. He'll have to do what von_R did in the last game with the Mamluks (which then became France, banishing the Bretons to Africa) in order to salvage any sort of position further on. I suggest switching countries.

Russia has a nap with foelsgard afaik, KoMs best bet is Bavaria/Croatia or Denmark saving him.

I eagerly await (m)updates.

Absent gods help us all. Take it to Ederon. Better still, take it back to MSN and don't bother the rest of us. Can you at least keep this spam to one damn thread, and not spread it out everywhere?

Right, and now you may all quit posting here until there is something meaningful to say about this multiplayer campaign itself. For mere gossip or chatting there are PM's, Visitor Messages or a thread in to OT-forum.

Session 39, yr 1382; In which the Greeks spark the last great war of the CK part of our game

session39.jpg

With 17 years to go before conversion:

the Greeks make a grab for the Levant while the Fatimid realm is wrecked by sub mismanagement!

with the Greeks occupied the Persians move in for the kill!

Bavarians and Danes come to limited rescue!

Croats sign treaties with both Fatimids and Greeks, securing Constantinople and north Italy for themselves!

Fatimids negotiate with Bavarians and Danes!

Will the Greeks survive? Will KoM have to flee to Oman come EU3? Will the Mods close us down? Will the Caliphates be able to sign a peace both are happy with? Stay tuned for the exiting season finale of Children of the Fatherland!
