And so it begins with a Blitz.

Good luck, and by the way can you release Brittany as an independent state when you're done?

It's sure it's not to bad for now...Your not in Europe ;)

The carnage begins.

What? Weak and isolated Mitteleuropean African allies being overruned by all-sides assaults? Who could imagine that!

Yes! Destroy the Germans! Destroy Morocco! Destroy Ostafrika! Crush them all!

@ hoi2geek: Brittany is already independent state. They are German allies and French exiles in North Africa probably see them as German collaborators. After the destruction of Commune of France, Germans have divided French mainland into several minor states. Three of them survived into 21st century: Kingdom of France, Brittany and Normandy.

If you can keep the Germans from sending naval reinforcements into the meditteranean, La Royale should have an easy time destroying the fleet's of Mitteleuropa's meditteranean powers (Italy, Fake France, Spain, Austria). Now that the Egyptians have taken the Suez canal, perhaps you could take Gibraltar with paratroopers, once the Moroccan's are crushed of course. Gibraltar could also serve as your beach-head into the rest of continental Europe, along with Italy and the rest of Spain.

BTW, it seems that Portugal has a very impressive army. I didn't think the Portuguese colonial forces where going to end up being so large, with all of those division sized units. Did you port them over from the default MDS 1.6 Angolan and Mozambique armies?

Keep fighting the good fight. I hope France itself will soon be back under its rightful leadership.

Pretty impressive fights so far. The situation in Phoenicia is worrying, and yes the Med should be sealed ASAP.

Take that Jerries! The Suez rightfully belongs to Egypt!

@Asalto: I was thinking of an independent Breton and Galician nation under the influence of the Entente.

@Zeldar155: I think supporting a Celtic nation like Brittany and Galicia would defenitely boost relations with Ireland, maybe even raising prospects for the country to join the Entente.

and when future generations will look back to this war,
they will check who started it...
and all shall say: who the heck is Tannu Tuva?
Brilliant:D keep 'em coming

Wow I missed a lot.

and while I would support Ireland, I don't think it's wise to divide France up, especially since National France would probably want to reacquire it's pre-Weltkreig possessions or make it a Commonwealth-styled governing system.

Spain on the other hand...(leaving it blank for your interpretation)

I think an update or more information about the nationalism of varius cultures, artificial or OTL. How are all the balkan/slavic cultures reacting under the AH, Do the batlics like being under the Commonwealth (Forgot the name of that blob) Are Normans and Bretons fierciely indepedent or are they more pacific. Do they consider themselves "French" or "breton/Norman"

@ Kaiser Mobius: Portugese situation is quite interesting. Their land and part of naval forces were inherited by Kingdom of Portugal when coup happened in metropolis, while their airforce was mainly based at allied airfields. They had some units in colonies too. I took over their airforce (under excuse of suppy problems), and most interesting, they oriented their production towards deployment of ground forces. There was only some IC in largest city of Angola, but minister effects gave them some boost. It's amazing because every time I checked Angola there was new fresh unit ready in their capital. They really performed large mobilization and their forces became really impressive.

@ Razgriz 2K9: Welcome back! You're right, Nationalist French aren't very fond on independent Brittany (anger due to collaboration with Germans, and centralist tradition of France), and it would be also hard to influence Celtic nations, as Germans already successfully did that. Ireland is strictly neutral and really doesen't any interest in joining anyone, while other Celtic nations (Scotland, Brittany, Normandy, Wales) already enjoy full German support. On the other hand, Canadians wish to restore the United Kingdom of Great Britain, and similar the French don't want to hear anything about autonomous or even independent parts of their national mainland proper.

@ Hochseeflotte: Info about national relations is fractured all over the AAR, so I probably have to do a short summary. In Austria-Hungary/Danubian Federation, Slavic nations are not so strong due to Lithuanian possession of Galicia (no Poles and Ukrainians in AH). Slovenes and Croats are quite used to Habsburg rule, while Serbs and also Romanians (not in Slavic group) are not very pleased with foreign rule. There is a lot of resistance in Romania (due to recent occupation) while there is also constant sporadic resistance in Serbia and some dissent in Bosnia. Slovaks are very unpleased with Magyar rule despite federal system (which still gives most of power to Austrians and Magyars), and Czechs are grumbling about German-dominated Sudetland. Baltics are mostly Germanized and dominated by Germany (former United Baltic Duchy, composed from Estonia and Latvia, was anexed into German Empire after Germanization), while Lithuania is part of Commonwealth (with Poles, Ruthenians etc.). United Commonwealth is loose federation of Poland-Lithuania, Ukraine, White Ruthenia and Moldova, united only in attempt to counter Russians. It's mostly defense union, members have still most of their national powers in their hands, only army is unified and some common institutions were created for easier defense, economic and political cooperation. Bretons and Normans are proud on their statehood and don't consider themselves for French, especially Bretons are very nationalistic, they also founded their own religion in attempt to return to pagan roots. Cult of Ankou has a lot of supporters, especially in leading cirles, altough it doesen't fully dominate the county.
