War for the South: The end of war
Last days of July 2007

After the catastrophic naval defeat of American Union Navy, AUS tried to preserve advantages on the air and on the ground. American Union Army was now stretched thin: Armies were defending Eastern front against Southern Commonwealth and Northern front against Combined Syndicates. Some troops were also assigned to protect the shores against potential enemy invasion: Since destruction of the core of American Union Navy, Canadians could easily perform amphibious invasion on soft spots like Florida. American Union Air Force was still worthy foe, managing to fight of Canadian Royal Air Force, Combined Syndicates Air Force and air force of Southern Commonwealth. American Union Air Force even dared to perform offensive operations, like striking enemy forces in their territory.

Situation changed for American Union Air Force when US President David Petraeus decided to enter this war. He knew that Southern Commonwealth will benefit a lot from Canadian friendship and he chosed to approach Entente now, before it would be too late. With USAF being thrown into action, air fleets of American Union State couldn't bear such overhelming opposition anymore. Granger's ''Peace trough superior firepower'' strategy was ruined now and ground troops soon stayed without sufficient protection from the air. US also launched ground assault against Kansas City, but it ended with disastrous defeat for US Army. Unfortunately for USA, AUS brigade that was defending the area had strong detachment of Minutemen political officers that threatened soldiers with death if they would dare to retreat. AUS soldiers were more affraid of their political officers than of enemy and they managed to repel US assault. US Army didn't make any more advances until the end of war.

Despite the victory at Kansas City, AUS forces couldn't bear pressure on the two main fronts anymore. AUS armies even managed to make some successful offensives into Western parts of Combined Syndicates territory, but this advance was soon stopped. Despite fanatic resistance of AUS troops, the Red tide poured over the East Coast. Both American Union State and Southern Commonwealth called for fresh units, AUS with total mobilization and Southern Commonwealth with traditional Southern call for volunteers.

Race for Southern lands began. Frontlines fell apart and enemies were grabbing for AUS territory. But it seemed that resistance in the North is more fanatic than AUS resistance on the East. AUS sent most of reinforcements and also elite units to the North, to slow down Syndicalist advance. On the other side, AUS troops started to surrender en masse to the units of Southern Commonwealth and modern Confederates made huge advances. Southern vanguard units even reached outskirts of Miami, but they were quickly driven out of Florida by elite Minutemen brigade. However, Canadians soon launched massive amphibious invasion on Florida and capital of AUS was surrounded. Highest AUS leaders included transport helicopter and escaped from surrounded city. German destroyer was spotted near coast of Florida, and Canadians presumed that this escape was aided by Germans. Only the Vice President Bush was left alone in presidental office in Miami. He was taken to Canadian aircraft carrier HMCS Iroquois where he signed total capitulation of American Union State.

With capitulation of AUS, victorious forces anexed occupied territory into their domains. There were also some incidents. Southerns took Western part of South Carolina first, but they were driven out by very aggressive Syndicalist behaviour. Superior officers ordered retreat as they didn't want war with Syndicalists too.

Map of North America was changed again. Canadians were pleased to have to strong allies that are rivals to each other in North America, and that pro-German American Union State was gone, but Syndicalist threat was still here, even stronger that it ever was.

I almost got the new border completely accurate in my prediction, I expected South Carolina to be won by the Southern Commonwealth, but I got everything else right.

Love how everyone is so Obamacentric. C'mon guys., He's the Shachtman to Chomsky's Reed!

True, Obama is ''only'' General Secretary, while Chomsky is Chairman of the Congress and holds greatest political powers. In classic Syndicalist countries from KR setup, Chairman is most important position, as there was no Stalin to make position of General Secretary almighty and change this into trend. But exceptions happen also in my story, for example Fidel Castro is General Secretary but he is most powerful man in Mexico, with his brother taking only formal position of Chairman(HoS).

But Obama does not have the cool cigar as Fidel does, so that would be why he is less important in his nation than Fidel in his.

That was some fantastic work by the Entente forces in North America. The AUS fought hard, but they simply could not fight everybody.

Although the Syndicalists did take a large amount of territory, they did not perform nearly as well as they should have. Just look at how the AUS was able to drive all the way into Iowa. That is a very positive sign, showing that they may have the industry, but the CSA does not have the overwhelming military power that was previously thought.

Its also great to see that Petraeus finally joined the Entente. The alliance's position in North America is now vastly improving.

Great update.

Just finished the whole thing. Suscribed!

Try to exclude the Southern Commonwealth, then as the United States, declare war on all the Syndycalists, MittelEuropa, and the Tokyo Pact, then after the war is won, abandon Russia, and declare war on her. Once that is through, it would be the FINAL ULTIMATE VICTORY FOR DEMOCRACY, FREEDOM, AND LIBERTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Isnt that... uhm.... a bit too ambitious?:D

Why, because I want democracy to win.

Democracy shall win!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, because doing that is essentially suicide, not smart. Just stupid...

If Democracy is to triumph over Monarchism, Syndicalism and... East Asiaism, then you have to play it smart. Remember, this isn't World War II.

This is Kaiserreich: Modern Warfare!!

His father was from Ostafrika, the mother was from the Combined Syndicates, Obama was born in the Midwest, my two cents on that idea.

Things can be so confusing, like how Rumsfeld was President of the AUS when he was born in Illinois.

The new map looks better, but still far too much red on it. :D

Most of those leaders were born in places where they live now, their parents and/or grandparents just moved there before and meet each other. Most of leaders(political and military) of National France were born in Algeria. This all depends how diffrent historical course affected their ancestors. Well, some were even born in completely diffrent families, like Steve Martin being French President and IRL French President being Bonaparte.

:D
