vive la republique!

down with the monarchists & imperialists!

Mon vote va aux orléanistes ;)
The revolution of 1789 and the revolution of 1848 have delayed the industrialization of 50 years for the revolution of 1789 and 20 years for the second.
The people has more right of vote in the restauration than in the empires or the two firsts republics. You depict the duke of france as a fanatic and an absolutist,or the house of Orléans,as the "légitimistes" are for a constitutionnal monarchy.

A Caesar-like Republic is what is needed. The Monarchists have forgiven nothing, and learned even less. The French nation must be freed from the likes of these inbreds aristocrats.

This. Can't say it better myself.

Orleanists are for constitutional monarchy, not for absolutist one. Duke of France has such speech to show his support for traditional values, he's not fanatic and absolutist at all. Otherwise, the most authoritarian monarchy in this story is Qing Empire, and it's followed by Tzarist Russia(which is my ally). Restoration of Kingdom doesen't mean restoration of absolutism, just a bit more authoritarian constitutional monarchy(so the king is not servant of parliament).

People, please don't make up your own options, don't waste your votes. Kurt Steiner, don't try to make any new coups, or they'll sent you to some forgotten place in Sahara. ;)

My vote remains with the Orleanist Monarchy.

Funny story, I was playing the Original Kaiserreich mod, and I wound up recreating Britain and France to how you did it Asalto. With the exception of some territory I took from France (I was playing as the Italian Federation.)

Excellent, the Republican Dassault is taking the lead! :D

(Anyone have a good Steve Martin pic to show my happiness?)

The ambitions of pretenders have no place any longer. Send the Casque Bleus and Le Muffen's special divisie after those who would threaten the republic.

I choose the Order of the French Republic:D

National Assembly
Algiers, French National Republic
26 April 2005, 0021 hrs

Voting was closed at evening hours of 25 April and results of the plebiscite were to be announced next day in the nine pm. Citizens of National France responded the call of their favorites in masses. From the early hours of 26 April until the evening, votes were checked and counted by National Electoral Commission. In the evening hours of 26 April, national assembly was full of people. Results were to be revealed here first. Speculations that were done during counting of votes were giving very diffrent predictions and no one was sure who will be victorious.

Right at nine o'clock in the evening, President of National Electoral Commission stepped on the speaker's place in the main hall of national assembly. Most of present were nervous, anxious and excited, only a few remained completely cold. Most important political leaders tried to stay calm and give the impression of cold selfconciousness. President of National Electoral Commission looked at gathered people and took out the sealed envelope. He put on the glasses and opened the envelope. In very formal tone he announced the results. - Results of plebiscite from 25 April 2005 are following: Majority of citizens decided that Republic must be preserved. - President of National Electoral Commission didn't have time to tell the details as the hall bursted into victorious mood of celebration thanks to members of the Union for Republic. Members of Action Francaise and Ligue Bonapartiste left the hall immediately. Members of the Union for Republic started to sing La Marseillaise. There was a lot of singing, cheering and congratulating. Bottles of the finest champaigne were opened and celebration lasted until the early morning hours. Marianne was victorious again.

In the early morning hours, President Dassault was driving in his Citroen to the Presidental palace. Due to victorious day, he felt like he is able to conquer the world, and he refused strong escort for a drive to palace. The driver suddenly stopped the car as the two vans blocked the street. Masked men that jumped from the vans opened fire from submachine guns and automatic rifles. Bodyguard in the right front seat was killed immediately, while the wounded driver managed to turn the car and drive it away, despite the three punctured tires. Running car received the new wave of armor-piercing bullets, but it seemed that all missed the passengers. President and his wife that were sitting in the rear quickly ducked when the attack began and the President was glad when he saw that interior of their part of the car is almost intact. Fortunately, presidental couple got only a few schratches from broken glass. - I don't want to hear any more complaints about the French cars. - commented President Dassault this event right after the attack.

Congrats President Dassault on destroying the vile opposition. *drinks from victory wine*

So, are the French Kingdom and the French Empire immediately annexed in game? I don't know about you but I miss all that precious IC.

Independent nations of French Kingdom and French Empire existed only in Dassault's nightmare, they were never established in reality. I don't miss any IC because I haven't lost any. ;)

Oh, okay. I don't know why I thought that was real, I learned the nuke was fake though. I guess the brain doesn't work as well when you get the shit scared out of you, lol.

So my dream of Napoleonic restauration just crashed

Wonder what will happen to Louis Napoleon, will he rally the Republic?

Nice to see the republic restored to its rightful glory!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Now, you can free the Philippines and Ireland(and to a lesser extent, the Celtic Nations, including Galicia and Asturias) for the Entente.
