What is your favorite book ? And if you can't name one, just name a few.

I do though have the feeling that you have been asked that a couple of times.

King Rat and Perdido street station by China Mieville
Sword of Destiny and The last wish by Andrzej Sapkowski
Song of ice and fire series
American Gods and Sandman series by Neil Gaiman
Foundation series by Isaak Asimov

I know A Song of Ice and Fire gives Paradox devs a lot of happy thoughts :p

And now an important question: Bratwurst or Bockwurst, which makes for a better weapon?

Oh, and maybe a silly question as well: Do you still read paper newspapers?

Does not matter, as long as it's frozen ;)

And yes. I still read newspapers. My girlfriend is working on a newspaper.

The last time I played a Sports Management simulator was Football Manager 2 on the Amstrad 464 (it actually had a pretty good match simulator given the time), what was the last (if any) sports management sim game you played and what do you think of the genre as a whole?

This might surprise people who know me, because I find sport utterly boring, but I have actually played a sports manager sim at one point. This one: http://hattrick.org/ In my defence, I knew a guy who worked on it, plus is was rather interesting.

No sausages here. If I'm having meat, I want steak. hence they are both good weapons against me.

I do read newspapers on occasion, but only online.

The Foundation trilogy by Isaak Asimov is a (three) clear favourite, but I also like Edgar Allan Poe and Lovecraft. Oh and Alastair Reynolds. I just read Metro 2033, that was really good as well. Iain M Banks, with or without the M is very good. I read The Wasp Factory by him when I was a kid, and I remember it vividly. Joyce Carol Oates - Blonde is awesome.
There are so many more! I need to stop writing now.

Which of the games you've made/published have you guys played the most? And, if you dare to say, how much was that game played?:p

EU3 and probably Hearts of Iron III.

Easily the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I'm also a huge visual novel fan so I'm going to list Sandman by Neil Gaiman, Preacher by Ennis & Dillon and Blade of the Immortal by Samura as well. Stephenson's Baroque Cycle were a great read as well.

as for paper newspapers I feel the world has moved on and its much more convenient to read online/on your phone

Will there be any "Paradox Plays Multyplayer with Fans"?
Like EU3 or HoI? :)

And CK & Victoria! (Both 1 of course)

I hope so, it was a lot of fun! (but I have no idea what plans are in motion)

Why is there no King Arthur Collection and King Arthur: Fallen Champions "My Games" registration spot?

Registrations from third-party developers are always a lot more risk and more work, so we will only have them for regular new titles.
Fallen Champions kind of falls in between the cracks, since it is the size of a big expansion, but still a standalone game.

Makes sense to me, thanks for the reply. :)

Hi this thread is not for game tech support.
please post your question in the Magicka tech support forum, you may need to complete your registration by responding to the confirmation e-mail that was sent to you first so that you can see that forum.
If you have a problem doing that feel free to PM and I will help you through the process.

Where do you get the incidental sound effects in the games? Like the sound of sails when an early ship is slected in V2, the clicking sound in EU3, etc? where is that stuff sourced from?

Actually that would be very interesting to know.
In the past I had the impression that many sound effects have been shared between movies, tv series and videogames (i.e. the squeaking doors of Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall were the same of B movies, same as low budget monster movies death cries and the killed aliens one of the first Ufo Defense) and thought that there must be a sort of fx library where producers can buy the ones they need.

I can't read through hundreds of page of questions so I hope this hasn't been asked, but what are the Paradox Interactive offices like? Use pictures where appropriate ^_^

You can see a couple of pictures from the office on the Magicka photo page on Facebook. Just search for Magicka and you'll find them :) Don't know if you have to have an account to see them though.

Excellent thanks, the Stockholm one was pretty much how I imagined it, perhaps a bit tidier.
