Improved Interface for Victoria

This mod changes the interface in Victoria into something more esthetically pleasing and easier to read. I was inspired by the look of Victoria 2.
If people like the changes I've made I'll redo other parts of the interface (such as the dialog boxes) to fit with the new style as well.

That's sadly not possible. The button is just one image, which is used for all the map mode buttons. I tried a workaround and while that did show different icons for the map modes it also prevented the player from actually changing the map modes by clicking them. This is as good as it gets.

I just bought the game and it looks horrible on my 24'' monitor, to the point that I don't think I can play it.

Will this mod make it playable on a large monitor?

No, I'm sorry that requires a change to the code, something I can't do. I play it on widescreen too and I manage. You just need to get life to that until Victoria 2 comes along.

Just draw the unique buttons on the background and make the actual button graphic have 0% opacity.

Thank you so much for this, never having played this game and starting with EU3/HOI2 as my first paradox game, the UI design for this was not at all appealing to the eye.

This looks neater, but actually fits the style of the era (unlike the UI you get with VIP!). This definatley gets my seal of approval.
