In Development: HRE mod for WWM
Hi guys!
Doing a mod for myself, thought I might share a bit with possibly interested players.
Background (historically very inaccurate, i know):
During the struggle tween Maria Theresia and Friedrich, a german noble coups himself to power, forcibly uniting the HRE and ruthlessly conquering the world.
Funding universities and industries he develops advanced weapons and agricultural machinery; with liberal politics uniting the working class and bourgeoisie behind him.
Lingua Franca is german, thus province and monarch names worldwide will be "germanized".
World religion is New Catholic, a progressive and liberal catholic religion, enforced by law. Heretics are enslaved or worse.
Playable from any date, though main thought is, that around 1914, after nearly hundred years of world peace, communist and fascist culture starts to spread and the empire is breaking up.
Some screens:
World religion New Catholic; special decisions will be added, tolerance to other religions decreased.
Cultures in the eastern mediterranean. Some crusader states will resurface.
Finland, incorporating all finno-ugric cultures in the baltic.
Greater countries like russia, england will be reduced in size, to break their power and unity. Others, like spain will be increased in size to provide inner conflicts to prevent unity.
Countries & cultures in north africa. As heretics are not tolerated, much of the arabic population that wouldn't convert is gone, replaced by colonists. Women can believe what they want, not publibly though, so population growth is not reduced.
Well, will take me a couple of months to finish, just a little preview.
The main languages will all be supported, though I don't guarantee correct translations
