Bug Heading: CTD (is this the same thing as Freezes?) .......KONGO 1603 Jan 2.... kept freezing at this point.....no particular event. This was last Autosave - keeps freezing after loading and after a day. Tried OLD Autosave (1602) and it works, continues on past 1603 Jan......Will play on and see what happens.
Not exactly the same thing as CTD, but I think a true "freeze" (game locks up, you cannot perform any actions, cannot exit without forcing a quit, etc) counts.
Sounds like you got lucky and the old autosave is working.
Every once in awhile you get a weird issue like that. The thing that caused is is often a colonist settling as that will always happen at the same exact time (as opposed to most events with have a bit of randomness). The workaround is to indeed do exactly what you did - try to find an older save before conditions set themselves up to be non freeze escapable.

1) Installed EU3 COMPLETE
2) Installed EU3 HTTT
3) Install patch 4.1b fixed, downloaded from this topic, started game and on second start i got cheksum HYTM, which should be ok
4) Install MMP1.26
CTD at initialising map
I have Win7 Enterpirse, 64bit processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330

I have tried to locate paradox in C:\Users\edo\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ which should be my virtualstore folder but with no success. any suggestion?
(To be perfectly honest, installing it outside of program files is the safest way to make sure none of it's problems appear.)

Note the links for beta downloads in the Vista issues thread are not updated compared to the download thread, so just pay attention to the process. (Also pretty sure you don't need to install every step and beta, just the last expansion and proper beta.)
And you are supposed to delete the "cache" folder in EU3/map, not "cashe". Ubik's english is a bit off at times.

I run a EU3 complete (not in program files) with the right patch and MM 1.26.
