The missing Sweden tech team pictures were on Doomsday but AOD forgot to include them, so I'll add them under a new name.
Re: Denmark
Looks good overall. Decided to keep Novo Nordisk with the original name and skill set and replace the image to match the name. They would match well with agricultural technologies and I would not want to hurt a tiny nation's ability to research agriculture. The other pharmaceutical company appears to be a closely related company in the same conglomerate, but does not actually help Denmark, so it won't be added. The army and other tech teams can more effectively research hospital techs.

as a logistics team.
Denmark voted against nuclear power in 1985 so I haven't included a late game nuclear team, but one possibility is UN Atoms for Peace as a dormant team (can be woken by event)
Shall I add them?

I'm sorry if this has been addressed before but is anyone else having a crash on research for Airborne '80 or for entering the screwed up new points on the map? When I load the Eclipse scenario, there is always an error message for the scenario files and I've reinstalled the game, re-did 1.04 and a fresh download and still the error. The new sections on the map have connections to land but are sea zones. I occasionally crash to desktop for no apparent reason, I'm wondering if it is because a unit was retreating onto the sea zone. I love this scenario and have had loads of fun testing ideas in it. (It's possible to research land doctrines in the correct order to get over 200 org, I don't know if anyone else has seen that. It makes your armies effectively undefeatable in combat. Tiny armies of mech infantry race around in circles crushing mass foot armies and barely break a sweat, except that you have to wait for their slow asses to finish retreating.)

I did a mass para drop and cut off the land connection between Germany and Empire of Russia and blocked the Germans from assisting against my attack in Siberia. Using air supply kept them going until my mechanized forces cut through. This mod is hugely entertaining.

That crash is due to a corrupted graphics file. Find the file gfx\interface\tech\20560.bmp and delete it, and you'll be fine. This is a known issue and will be fixed in the 0.16 release. Thank you for the combat report.
Muusikko,
Thank you for the Norway files. AOD screwed up the numbering scheme once again, so I have to undo that, and it will take some time to figure out all the changes. Also can't find many of the tech pictures. Maybe they're part of an AOD update I refused to install. Because of database issues, I've generally only updated the executable and a few associated files when I update. I don't want to undo the 2999 end date fix. So either these pictures are in one of those packages or they are non-existent. Don't have time to check all this out today--it will have to wait for the weekend.

Infra issue will be fixed in 1.05
Ai now builds infra, and you can in the AI files now specify prioritized provinces.

re Rare minerals.. going very slowly cause theyll be VERY detailed. ;) Ive been busy with univ exams & a 10 day meditation retreat, therefore apologies. Ill try having it done finally by this week end. :D

technical_efficiency, not management is what you need to build weapons systems like tanks, planes and ships.
The technical university is switched over from nuclear physics to mathematics when the other nuclear team comes on board. This should help later computer research. I did not include a couple of people for political reasons (e.g. would not work for nazi puppet Norway, and didn't want to worry about writing events to sleep, etc), or because of marginal benefit. Also restored team numbering to classic HOI2 standards for backward compatibility.
Added: UMOE Mandal, the Norwegian Navy's current supplier. There were a couple of shipyards that ceased operations in 1987, represented as Marinens Hovedverft

At long last! the USA minister's file!

Comments:
From 1960 onwards the Armaments Minister is the Secretary of Defense. Alternate Armament ministers for losing candidates are the suggestions of danielshannon.
Minister of Security is the FBI Director. But from 2003 onward it is the Secretary of Homeland Security.
Head of Intelligence is the CIA Director. But starting with John Negroponte, it is the Director of National Intelligence, which in the government reform is ABOVE the CIA.

One idea is to have a choice of Armament Ministers, with alternates being either the historic Secretaries of the Interior or Chairmen of the Council of Economic Advisers.

Suggestions please for communist/fascist ministers. We'll probably have to be limited to HOS, HOG, FM and AM for these. I plan to have the rest offered by events happening on the historical day, and the answer can be yes or no.
Aside from the ones danielshannon suggested earlier I can think of Bernie Sanders as LWR HOS/HOG. For arms ministers perhaps we can have union leaders or some mayors as LWR, and respected industrialists as PA. Maybe noted authors can be FM. Ideas?

Personalities are my estimates based on their careers. Anyone who has a different opinion is welcome to express it.

Great mod ! I had some great times playing, there's just a bug that makes my game crash every time. I don't know if it has already been discussed but the 1980 Airborne troops research doesn't work : as soon as the research is activated, the game crashes and there's not even a error message. Is there any quickfix ?

Yes, it has been posted a number of times. The quick fix is to delete its associated tech picture which is a corrupted graphics file.
delete this file:
gfx\interface\tech\20560.bmp,
Better yet:
The issue is fixed in 0.16, which is now out. See links in my sig.

I will test your new version happily. I have been getting repeated crashes at what seems an accelerating rate, as I play a game, and it happens in regular 1.04 as well. Can't seem to lock down what is making the freeze happen, but it could just be an instability issue, since nothing in particular seems to trigger the crash.

Examples of what seemed to make it crash: Ordering a over water route attack with non marines onto Gotland in Sweden, right clicking on Abadan, a terrain pop-up trying to pop-up, entering my trade screen without tradable partners (known), in the middle of renaming a carrier from "CV Division 1" to something better. Ordering a million overland redeployments, a million strategic redeployments... Just don't know.

Nomonhan, can you give us a brief list of the changes to .15 to .16?

The work you and those that have helped you out, have done on this mod with the Tech's and Events is awesome. For me it is the only way to play AOD.
Thanks to all of you.

I suspect some of the crashes may simply be vanilla. The 1.05 beta for AoD is out for public testing. It has some instability issues as well, but as the beta testing becomes more advanced it may turn out to be the preferred executable. Instructions on how to use my mod with 1.05 beta are in the download. But I think it's better to stick to 1.04 for a while longer.
As for the changelog:
NEW FEATURE! Flag changing batch file to change flags to the ones appropriate for the time period.
See readme_flagchange.txt
Bugfixes
--incorrect prerequisites for 1970 Mechanized Infantry and 1975 Air Cavalry corrected
--Incorrect prerequisites for Modern Repair corrected.
--Corrupt tech picture which caused CTD when 1980 Airborne is researched now replaced.
--Prerequisites in Mars programs fixed.
--recoded Indonesia independence events to resolve bug whereby provinces occupied by partisans do not go over to
Indonesia.
--resolved bug whereby sometimes a rebel unit in retreat lands on an Indonesian province after independence from
the Netherlands, causing loss of control to the partisans.
--Bug whereby Yugoslavia did not leave the Soviet alliance upon expulsion from the Cominform fixed.
--Fixed Jan 6 1949 Arab-Israeli Peace treaty so it will in almost all cases fire on that date
--Fixed bug so that Marshall Plan ends at end of fiscal year, not in August
Tech tree
--slight modifications made in several land doctrines, but especially the Sino-Japanese branch.
--Soviet Union has new tech team B.M. Malinin who can research Indirect Approach. In 1936, they are no longer
forced into Fleet-in-Being. There is abundant evidence that Indirect Approach WAS in fact the Soviet Naval Doctrine,
(in fact it is the doctrine in the 1945 scenario--correctly so) and they simply did not research it as rapidly as
the Germans.
Database
--USA ministers updated to present day
--Updated Nationalist and Communist China ministers
--Fixed Japanese tech teams so right ones are slept post 1945, and added modern teams
--improved British and French tech teams, adding modern ones and sleeping individuals in their death years
--revamped SOV, RUS and UER ministers files as follows:
--RUS: all dead people and probable fakes removed from file (original file was about 80% bogus, and even included
someone who died in the Russo-Japanese War with a disguised new first name!)
--SOV: The suspected fakes which are PA ministers removed from file, and replaced with comparable people. Left
communist ministers in for gameplay reasons, though am not 100-% sure about all of them.
--UER: some people, such as Alexander Kolchak, are included in the UER file, which is intended to represent
what might have happened with either no Bolshevik revolution or a White victory in the Russian Civil War.
The UER file also includes people who historically emigrated due to the Communist victory, and who would not
have done so if there was no Communist victory, including two who manufactured aircraft in the USA.
--many new real ministers were found and added to the RUS file, including many more ROA members
--the RUS and SOV files have added people past 1960, up to today.
--all added ministers have pictures
--replaced Tannu Tuva ministers file, in response to comments indicating most of the people in the Paradox file were
dead, "loaned", or fake. Most of the new ones do not have pictures, but are real.
--Updated Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Scandinavia tech teams thanks new user Muusikko.
Error Corrections
--Tsien Hsue-shen (CHC) team no longer awoken by United China event--he was detained in the USA until 1955
--several inappropriate leaders and ministers slept for both CHI and CHC in Cold War scenario
Scenarios
--added 1945 automated test scenario (you can load as Greenland and just watch)
--improved capabilities and deployment for Xibei San Ma 1945 CW scenario--also removed industrial modifier nerfing for
Xibei san Ma. The industrial modifier is intended to represent corruption, cronyism, communist infiltration, and
poor relations between Chiang Kai Shek and other generals that plagued Nationalist China. However, this is not
appropriate for Xibei San Ma, which historically held out in the west for most of the war, but in previous editions
of Cold War for AOD was generally annexed in mid-campaign.
--USA no longer holds cores on Puerto Rico in 1945 Cold war
--Improved starting setup for Nationalist China. It now fights respectably in the early stages of the Chinese Civil War.
Graphics
--some missing events pictures added.
Minister effects
--Effects of Pig headed isolationist restored to HOI2 values. AOD cut the money benefit from 25% to 10%. Restored to 25%.
--Added three new minister personalities for Head of State--Inside Investor, Populist Reformer, and Fortunate Son
--Added Foreign Minister Personality 'Traveling Salesman' (more money, better trade deals, more expensive diplomacy,
higher belligerence required for DOW)
--Added Chief of Navy Personality 'Landlubber' (useful for landlocked countries)
--added Chief of Staff personalities 'School of Air Support' and 'School of Naval Support'
--Added +5% TC to Backroom Backstabber
--Added +5% division experience gain to Flamboyant Tough Guy
--Iron Fisted Brute now gets slightly better trade deals with other government type.
--Apologetic Clerk now gets worse trade deals with other government type.
Events
--Added some additional resource discovery events.
--Reduced frequency of technology theft by Soviet side in Cold War--this is less needed in AOD.
--New Event Series 'Operation Paperclip' gives von Braun techteam to USA in Cold War scenario
--von Braun also given to USA by all German surrender events except Soviet steamroller
--replaced QUE with MON in the 'nuclear club'
--many resource events added thanks IceHawk
AI
--Soviet AI now builds more province improvemnents. This should cut down on unit spamming and make the game run faster.
--improved Communist China AI--more aggressive and instituted war and peace AIs following victory--it will now do some
province improvements, including coastal forts, if at peace and no neighbor is at war. Will also immediately research
1943 Infantry and Mountain in 1945 CW. Also researches Peoples War doctrines and fights more effectively.
--both CHI and CHC should be tougher computer opponents in Cold War scenario.
--North and South Korea AI added, now Korean War is reasonably historical.
KNOWN PERSISTENT BUG
--For some reason, neither the remove_division nor the switch_allegiance commands work as they are supposed to. This
is a vanilla AOD bug which I hope will be fixed with 1.05. The result is that the units created for the Korean War
do not get properly removed when the war is over. They need to be removed manually. See the file 'korean_war_bug.txt'
for details on removing the units manually. Version 1.05 of the AOD executable is presently undergoing beta testing
but is not yet playable for the mod. The latest info on the delete units bug: It seems as though if the name is long enough,
the units get removed properly. But for some reason the executable doesn't like short names that are almost alike. You should,
at the end of the Korean War, wait for the North Korean events "Thanking the Soviets", and "Thanking the Chinese" and the
South Korean event "Thanking the UN", and then turn on the nofog cheat to verify that the units are removed. If they are removed
you do not need to do anything else. If they are not removed, follow the steps for manual removal in the package.

Im not sure if someone has already picked up on this crash, but around the end of the korean war when an event relating to alliances being formed with the korean nations, it keeps crashing on me :( This is playing as Indonesia, so perhaps a bug with that or if someone else is getting this too ....

lek,
Post a link to a savegame just prior to the crash, mate and I'll look into it.

Ok Nomonhon, played through the latest release and have to say I'm majorly impressed!

The Chinese Civil War went almost entirely historic down to having the war end in Sept. 1949 which is really close to the october proclomation of the PRC.

Though I'm not sure if this was handled by event or what, but the actual war progessed very natural. Anyways now on to the next part, Korea, it's much better done but I do have a question, what difficulty are you assuming were playing on?

Cause I was on normal and Korea over-ran the north once it got reinforced by "UN" troops and the time schedule between tibet getting overtaken by the PRC caused the PRC to not even get events I don't think? Though I'm not sure how PRC involvement is handled now since you bassically treated Korea as a war between only two nations and not having all of the histroical AI Countries get involved, anyways so DPRK got overran and annexed in like two or three months.

So I reloaded back up with hard mode turned on, this drastically changed the war for the better, cause the DPRK pushed south to take Seoul which they did but then UN events fired and the war from there stalemated which was more or less historical. Of course there would have to be the whole push into North korea then back south as the PRC got involved but I'm not spliting hairs since really in order to model Korea very well it'd either have to be constricted alot by events or we'd need a better map like a HoI III map to represent small and large gains.

Anyways I'm keeping it on hard now cause maybe this is the way you assumed to run the mod? If not let me know.

In all though great job from last release hell maybe even the last release wasn't flawed in any way if I had it stuck on normal. Can move on to Suez crisis and such now.
