I am particularly interested in the Tech tree pictures.
    Thanks again for the download.
well yes slowly but surely i'll add more (note not the same people as in vanilla as there are too many fakes - just found out that the chinese leader Yu Yongchan is twice in the leaders list of CHI and he's not the only one).

as for tech pics i actually wanted to sort them out as they make the package too fat and i dont get much response here anyway. having read your post i might will think of it again.

Wow Bestmajor, what a good surprise! those past days I checked your CSV files for missing colour pictures (already in the pack but unused, found two dozens or so) so you can update them; and yes, finally, I chose to use your CSVs (except FRA and GER) since I know you spent a lot of time in research for all those leaders and ministers...creating my own FRA and GER files was more than enough for me...
P.S.: alas found no new French generals those past months...

    thanks,
maybe if you spot weird things in SOV, ENG, USA let me know. right now its more or less a very rough correction, and most i spot a lot of mistakes while playing - just that i dont have time to play right now.
and just in case you want to search: Admirals and Admirals and Admirals (+ if you eg play GER and go for Barbarossa: write donw names of paople still in B&W; if i reach like 600 people - 650 pics - i try to change perspective and mod SU while playing them)

    wow.

maybe PM me next time as i will spot it earlier. thanks a bunch. ok, i'll try to answer this step by step, please post if i miss something.

ok the USA, eg Ghormley (the minister) i left it as it is intentionally as i think i make a new one with hat for the officer, without hat for the minister (some other things you mentioned may be related to this)

the indians: the indian folder is more or less a research project. i do not think india is possible to mod as this would require tons and tons of sleep/wake leader events for IND and ENG. so right now i wont touch them until i think its possible - the file for india is just for in case i think its possible.
more or less the same for AUS and MEN. AUS is a complete mess anyway but like india i dont spent too much time, just put in possible people there for later changes.

EDIT: INDIA/UK/Commonwealth in general: i think its best to do the motherland first, i'm already in trouble with Aussie admirals which are usually british by birth. if there are more people than needed i can think of adding new nations.

soviet sleepleader evts: spot on, maybe replace with Rose/Roze http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A0%...B2%D0%B8%D1%87
    who i missed as well.

Honma: just take the other one, i messed up the collar badges initially, these should be read in case of a general.

As for CAN McEwen, i did not spend much time with the CANs, was happy that he left UK for now.

    ITA:
    Many many low skilled leaders!
its italy - well last things i made are some finns and testing the new AoD patch, if its an LXXX pic then probably bogus.

    SOV:
L9859 Brezhnev is Leonid Brezhnev?? if so he should be removed since he was a political commisar, not a military leader!
i know - but at least he is real. and political commissars played a role in SOV warfare. i agree he should leave, though.
    http://generals.dk/general/Brezhnev/...iet_Union.html

Missing pics (not included in last release):
    Pičche_giuseppe_colour_ita
    Stefanis_de3_colour_ita
    added

    USA:
60122 Davidson (land) has Superior Tactician?
air corps indeed, thanks for spotting: http://generals.dk/general/Davidson/...lhoun/USA.html

    ROM:
    4306 Argetoianu: Argetoianu_Constantin1a_colour_rom ???
no i dont think so, i saw this guy before maybe i'll find. iirc there is some kind of gallery for CoSs out there. maybe he's there but i would think post war.

EDIT2: shouldn't Italian general #6147 Vivalda be named Vivaldi?
possible but i think this time the error is on Ammentorps side: http://www.museoalpinidarfo.it/cti_Taurinense_01.html

ok i'll check the rest, please add if its leader or minister and btw as the french website is down, dates about this guy would be cool: http://generals.dk/general/Robert/Ge...ie/France.html
(there are a few new ones added at generals.dk but didnt follow closely)

    EDIT:
    SLO:
    31054 Gustav Malar: Malár_Augustin1_colour_slo
-> not sure, is he really the same guy as Augustin Malar?? if so why a Naval Intelligence Specialist??
well its paradox . and why a navy for SLO anyway. maybe compare the thing i made to the original L-pic in Arma on this position. its possible that i just renamed the person and added the pic when it was showing the KC holder anyway.

    RUS:
    4126 & 4132 Andrei Vlasov: Vlassov2_Andrei_colour_rus
same as for IND: dont think its possible. i just collect for "just in case"

    SPR:
    11228 Manuel Matallana Gómez: Matallana_Gómez_Manuel_colour_spr
added + the foreigners in 37 as start date

    RSI:
    508017 & 508023 Alessandro Pavolini: Pavolini_Alessandro_colour_rsi
i think its possible to mod the RSI, just i never see them in game

    FRA:
Bitmap file for photo Id Giraud2_colour_fra missing
added but you have a better one already

    MLY:
    565008 Arthur Percival: Percival_Arthur_Ernest1a_colour_mly
    565026 & 565034 Sir Gerald W.R. Templer: Templer_Gerald3_colour_mly
    565033 Robert Brooke-Popham: Brooke-Popham_Robert1_colour_mly
same as for RUS, ENG/IND, you see these guys have a job already in the motherland. mostly they were there in the 50s (at least Templer)

    CHI:
    Two Xu Yongchang: 50113 & 50296
    50360 Gui Yongqing: Gui_Yongqing_colour_chi
i'm actually very sure i replaced the double already with the latest upload?

    EDIT:
ok integrated most found bugs, esp the dates and leaders. thanks a lot!

Alexander, CAN leader is not the Earl of Tunis and later GG of CAN but probably this one: http://generals.dk/general/Alexander...en/Canada.html
Alexander of Tunis is in UK.

Tamm/SWE: there are actually 2 of them. General Viking Tamm and Admiral C.F. Tamm. my painting shows the admiral, i'll try to sort it out.

i'll include a pic in the next version.

Nice idea, I love using different pics for a same leader/minister too!!

That's right, England first with sidenotes in the CSVs is a good thing; sleep/wake events: I can't stand too to have the same leader being present at two different locations in the same game! same problem when Vichy colonies join or are taken by Free France; most of the generals there should be slept by event for VIC and woken for Free France (e.g. Juin in North Africa)...

Or you'll have to add a new pic of younger Brezhnev such as the one in generals.dk!!!
By the way all those NKVD generals you identified are Security Specialists in my test game...

Yes, both web.genealogies.free.fr and ecole-superieure-de-guerre.fr are down for now; sadly, both sites are my main source of infos...

Well, I'm afraid the double is still here...also I have a problem with this particular CSV which causes a CTD! (tested file after file)

Okay, thanks, corrections done waiting for your next release (and preview)!

i'm almost sure you're using an obsolete one. i just downloaded v27 and there's only one Xu Yongchang on ID 50113, the other one was replaced by Bi Yue. CSV was last changed at 21st of June this year. maybe if you download those things copy every new version over he old one, i usually look at the last upload date and copy all CSVs changed after this date in the new release.
as for CTD i have no idea, maybe there are leaders assigned to units in the scenario .inc and the leader isnt there?
the AoD validiator gave no hints iirc, but spotted an indian leader with max skill 10 (just in case).

iirc he was just a minister, no real leader. i just added the pic without any other modding. try the CORE ministers for ROM. they should be better than mine.

as for NKVD, you might add Sinilov to your list. http://generals.dk/general/Sinilov/K...iet_Union.html

as for CTD i have no idea, maybe there are leaders assigned to units in the scenario .inc and the leader isnt there?
the AoD validiator gave no hints iirc, but spotted an indian leader with max skill 10 (just in case).
I must confess I use Winmerge each time to update my files and to better see what's new in each last release! so I think I messed the CHI files and that's why I had two Xu Yongchang...
I also just found, thanks to your hint with the scenario.inc, why I had a CTD with China: deleted leader #50377 (SOV air leader) was present as a dormant leader in this mod, so I removed it from .inc file and no more CTD, cool!

Really? I think I download the mod once so I'll look at their ministers, thanks.

maybe its worth for you to make a separate install of Arma or even wait for a good deal for AoD (if you create an account at gamersgate, you can ask for an information email if the price drops to eg €5 or €3).
i doubt you will be able to get the full load with just winmerge, and sometimes you have to see things ingame to get it all (and all mistakes as well) - from my experience as i sometimes - in fact often - correct leaders while i'm playing (currently from a german perspective, but hopefully from a soviet one next year - you (or at least i) just dont get some things if you just look at the CSVs).

as for CORE and leaders/ministers (referring to the last AoD version i downloaded): iirc looking at the ROM ministers, MEN/CHI leaders and US-navy leaders makes sense. the rest is close to vanilla i'd say (probably overlooked some things).

EDIT: re: Nicolae Caranfil: i admit that this is no perfect solution, but there is also

Fevzi Cakmak in TUR (CoS was running the navy iirc and Mehmet Ali Ülgen just took over in 1949 http://www.dzkk.tsk.tr/turkce/komuta...etAliUlgen.php)

Väinö Valve is running the FIN navy (including leader) http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A4in%C3%B6_Valve

Gui Yongqing http://www.generals.dk/general/Gui_Y...g/_/China.html is a navy leader in CHI

so for those nations we'll have to live with it, probably (unless first rank is captain)

probably not, unless i play DH very often.
burt porting eg USA or SOV to DH is a matter of 10 minutes. everybody can do this. may change with the next patches, maybe.

Aahh, okay! I wondered for years, in fact since the first HOI2 game, why this particular chinese general look like an admiral! I thought it was about another mistake of Paradox!

German ministers with Undistinguished Suit trait!
    I noticed you gave that trait to three ministers that had originally another one which is indeed inappropriate;
#64 Thomas Mann as a General Staffer foreign minister ??
#76 Rudolf Hess as a Strategic Air Proponent armaments minister
#83 Max Amann as a Battlefleet Proponent armaments minister (he would be a Media magnate in Darkest Hour)

I suggest replacements such as Walter Wever for Hess and Erich Raeder for Max Amann; for Thomas Mann I have no idea...

well, the armaments ministry is a madhouse anyway. i think once i stop uloading and make my own mod perfect there will be a digitial night of the long knives in german HoI2 ministries .
right now i keep these things as they are to ensure a minimum of compatibility.

Thomas Mann for instance is not as bad as Ludwig Fulda but still rather funny.
i think the armaments ministry is for Ministers of Labour, Finance, economics and such things exclusively, the Chief of Army is the defence minister or CiC but there are probably other opinions as well. (just i'm sure that my version is the easiest one from a pic hunters/researchers POV).

no idea for Mann as well, and to be honest i dont spend much time to cover every fantasy situation in HoI games. Henri d'Orleans is already enough for me (from a historical perspective its even sillier in AoD as ai changes ministers actively to improve its situation - i usually curse if the UK ai takes the fascist "S.P. James" in a Churchill cabinet - its nice from a gamers point of view but silly if you see what is all in there).

well he was a LG indeed. i think the uniform is just a post war Taiwanese uniform like the chinese one i posted in the advert of He Shili http://generals.dk/general/He_Shili/...%2C/China.html

    ok aother little one:

some swedes inthere, btw did somebody notice that the generals Aakerhielm and Högberg look very similar ? i think i have both, the only problem is that the real A(a)kerhielm seems to be Gadd S. lol. now i'm after mister Gadd...

EDIT: oh, and RE: the Tamm confusion:

1st is (the one you already have):
    Claes Fabian Tamm http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabian_Tamm
the swedish general with the glasses in the preview (2nd row, middle) is Viking Tamm http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viking_Tamm (army, not air force)

no 28 is up see first post this thread; its more a hotfix for 27 (most findings by benden should be fixed, esp in JAP - the rest will follow in autumn).

    some ills added, screens:

    hope you like
Ill_div_chi_0_3, Ill_div_fra_8_1, Ill_div_fra_0_3 (in advert), Ill_div_ita_0_4 (in advert), ill_bri_ger_12_0 as these are my first steps in painting larger images

think that german sailors are ok now and the purged Englishmen were mostly from the Gloucestershire Regiment

Lots of armament ministers is still useful, the research specialists mostly before the war (to develop a specific army/navy/air force), although I tend to use mostly Administrative Geniuses, Ressource Industrialists and Laissez Faire Capitalists when at war

I noticed those particular AI files too (especially irritating too is fascist Lindbergh as chief of airforce for USA) but fortunately they are easy to modify (or to remove)

what really needs to be removed is the Krupps and Thyssens in GER, as for the rest - well Lindbergh - i never saw him ingame.

Rivet is good for Vichy too up to November, 1942 then he joins Free France. More HUNs fine, but what about László Tomor as a Chief of Air Force? he was only a captain! I think Army generals lead the Hungarian air force too. Otherwise, what's planned for your next release?

EDIT: found some (most?) Hungarian chiefs of air force (ministers) by doing a simple research on generals.dk!!

well i know that Tomor is wrong, i have Feketehalmy in mind, as the original one isnt there (HUN is a mess anyway, and i'm a bit scared to correct it).
Hennyey as CoS is wrong as well, it should be Somkuthy Jószef:

lol well dont count on it; just when i was hunting leaderpics during the last years i always found other stuff as well and saved it. this pays off now (and from a painters point of view its not always the same eyes-eyebrows-hair-collarpatches-skin-procedure. submarines can be cool as well).

planned? nada to be honest. i switched to ills as i cannot see those guys anymore (and always the same mistakes/fakes in the CSVs - maybe search for "urology" in the soviet CSV for example).

anyway some new ones (i dont advertise the bris as those are too small anyway):

well, dont overrate my skills. i can do groups of 2-4 people like the french or ITA inf i upped, the ships and the first plane in the preview in this post are mine, but when it gets to complicated i'll have to pass maybe. but french are always welcome so i can give things a go. just i cant promise anything before i see the source image.

EDIT: and french ww2 HQ themes would be cool. i cant see de Gaulle anymore.
as for preview: this one is definately on my list

HUN's current leaders CSV is cool thanks to Kunadam's great research work. Okay it includes a few non-generals like Tomor in case of a new Greater Hungary with expanded armed forces but many otherwise obscure hungarian generals are in (including those from the Royal Gendarmerie). But the ministers CSV needs a few reworking and adding a few death events like prime ministers Gyula Gömbös dying in 1936 (and its whole cabinet resigning), Kálmán Darányi in 1939 & Pál Teleki in 1941 for example...

So that's how you take a break from painting leaders & ministers, good holidays then!

The Soviet urology specialist was indeed a dangerous foe for the german invaders!!

Well, just take a look at the pack here; few material unfortunately (photos from this era are hard to find, even in books and magazines) but few pics are needed anyway: some INF (Europeans), MIL (Indochinese Tirailleurs), MAR, HQ, CL2 (Lamotte-Picquet), and a few brigades (artillery, AA, ...)
Note: the colonial troops uniform was unchanged from 1936 to 1945, and was nearly the same for both europeans and indochinese soldiers.
