You mean HoI2 before Doomsday? It will probably launch but you may encounter serious bugs.

I recommend you to get Doomsday and Armageddon. Or, as Fernando suggested, wait for Darkest Hour. I guess it will include some nice features from WiF although I hope it won't resemble it too much as it is in the case of commercial Iron Cross expansion alias free Mod34...

Darkest Hour is not related to WIF whatesoever.
Darkest Hour is a stand alone game with many new features just like HOI2 was compared to HOI1.

WiF is a great mod and even without it DD and ARMA are definitely a wise investment. As for mod-like releases I would be more reluctant although DH seems to promise more new features and better gameplay than AoD or IC.

There is DH Core which is compatible with HOI2 mods (you just need to adjust a few text files, but obviously you will be using the old HOI2 map).
And then there is DH Full which is the new engine + the database changes we implemented (map, scenarios and so on).
So you will be able to experience WIF over DH and take benefit from some of the features brought by the new game (although I don't plan on a total conversion of the mod).
ok I need some help with an error I keep getting. I got HOI 2 DD+ARMA and updated it to all the lastest patches (DD 1.3A and ARMA 1.2) I cut and pasted all the files in the titanium folder into my new WIF flames folder (I just hit copy on my DD ARMA vanilla folder and made a clean copy) the game loads fine and the GFX and everything is ok but when I go to launch the WIF scenario no matter what country I get at least 1 of the following error "unknown trigger type escort pool=50 line=919 db/wif/pret_bail.txt" anyone else had this error and how do I fix it it? thanks in advance

First, get the real latest patch which is 1.3b. It is available here http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/...9)-GET-IT-HERE
You don't need to install all those previous patches - ARMA definitely includes 1.3a for Doomsday and 1.3b for ARMA most probably includes 1.2. Your checksum (as seen in the upper right corner of the main menu screen) should be PHVR.
Then install WiF again.
Report your results.
