Well, why don't you just sticky them?
1914-1964 - the Ultimate Strategy Game
I have constantly heard that the vast majority of the values in this game will be qualitative rather than quantitative in order to make it a bit less like a game. My question is will there any be any chance that the reports we are given are wrong, be it due to false inteligence or an overexuberant minister? (Actually come to think of it improving the accuracy of internal/foreign reports would be a powerful incentive to create a bureaucracy/formal inteligence service or what ever the game equivalent is.)
And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it." Amen.
Will the minimap be static or will it be dynamic (so that it only shows what you've discovered)?

Will there be something similar to 'Lucky nations' in the game? If so, would it be possible as the user to pick one or two of the countries?
Because when I'm thinking about starting a new game, my thoughts go like this: "I wanna play Denmark, with a strong Sweden as neighbour", or "It would be fun to play Georgia, but only if Ottomans are really strong."

As far as I know Ubik wants to remove the lucky tag from the game completely and solve the balance problem differently.

I'm hoping to see some more simulation of hard currency in the game. In EU this is pretty much ignored – ducats come seemingly out of nowhere and then disappear into the void when you use them to pay troops. There's only some lip service with the vague idea of inflation if you mint too much. But this isn't satisfying because it ignores the very important issue of supply and demand for precious metal currency. Having lots of hard currency available was lucrative but it could lead to huge problems for countries with an glut (like Spain after all its conquests) or countries that couldn't effectively convert goods into precious metal. Any plans for a more detailed system of this aspect of economics?

No. The vast majority of information is quantitative. Some very important Information, like Infamy, Prestige, Religious Fervor, War Exhaustion are qualitative and cannot be quantified.

No. That would be going too far. We want to give the player accurate info about his country.
Info on other countries is another matter entirely, of course.

You didn't answer my question about minimap.

I don't think there will be any changes in minimap. What would be the point? It's only here to make it easier to jump from the home country to the colonies, without scrolling across the world.

Good for youBut I still can't see the point what good would come from adding terra incognita to the minimap as well. It's only for making navigation faster and for nothing else.
Details are important when it comes to the feel of a game. I support tuore's view. But to be fair, I'd have to see screenshots either way to know for sure. They are coming soon right?![]()
