Hearts of Iron 2 Doomsday - Soviet Union
Dear readers,

Hello, I'm Crilly and this is my first AAR. I am going to take you on a journey of evil, corruption, betrayal, and blood on the way to world conquest. Tonight is August 23, 1939 and we are in Moscow. A meeting is going on between the Soviet Union and Germany with both Hitler and Stalin present. The German government had originally asked the Soviets to consider a non-aggression pact with them. Although, Hitler seems to have other plans for the meeting. However, neither side really knows how this one event is about to change the course of human history, forever...

The joureny will start in a little bit. Enjoy, and we've got a lot of pages to this thing so let's see if we're in this for the long run guys.

Crilly

EDIT: wow... I put ARR instead of AAR... I now claim it to be an After Recon Report! Seriously, if a mod pops in here can you change it to AAR? It's not a priority but it might get annoying later on.

EDIT2: Thanks coz1! :D

Chapter 1: The Pact of Blood
August 23-24, 1939, Moscow, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
The dim lights flickered over the great conference room. On one side, stood German Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop and German Head of State Adolf Hitler. On the other, Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov and Soviet General Secretary Joseph Stalin were sitting, watching their guests. Hitler never took his eyes off Stalin, never wanting to be caught off guard in the middle of such an important discussion. They had come to discuss a possible non-aggression treaty between the two ideologically contrary powers which, if signed, could cause mass hysteria throughout the world. Hitler, however, had other plans for the meeting. The debate on the stipulations on the pact were still being argued when Hitler spoke out words that would change the course of history… forever.

Hitler, with a devilish smile and a dark look in his eyes that could turn the purest good to evil, spoke out to Stalin.
“Stalin, I have come to Moscow with a better offer than any mere non-aggression pact”
Stalin was intrigued. He chuckled and replied in a joyful, yet serious manner.
“You don’t say? Better than a peace between our rivaling ideologies?”
“Very much!”

Hitler then told Ribbentrop to hand Molotov some papers that they had brought.
Molotov took the papers and laid them out on the table. He and Stalin looked closely at the documents and being to read:

The Axis Pact between Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
The Governments of Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics consider it the prerequisite of a lasting peace that they shall receive the space to which they are entitled. They have, therefore, decided to stand by and cooperate with one another in their efforts in the regions of Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, as well as, North and South America. In doing this it is their prime purpose to establish and maintain a new order of things, calculated to promote the mutual prosperity and welfare of the peoples concerned. It is, furthermore, the desire of the two Governments to extend cooperation to nations in other spheres of the world that are inclined to direct their efforts along lines similar to their own for the purpose of realizing their ultimate object, world peace. Accordingly, the Governments of Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics have agreed as follows:

ARTICLE 1. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics recognizes and respects the leadership of Germany in the establishment of a new order in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Southernmost South America and Eastern North America.

ARTICLE 2. Germany recognizes and respects the leadership of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the establishment of a new order in Asia, Oceania, Northernmost South America, and Western North America.

ARTICLE 3. Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics agree to cooperate in their efforts on aforesaid lines. They further undertake to assist one another with all political, economic and military means if one of the Contracting Powers is attacked by a Power at present not involved in the European War.

ARTICLE 4. With a view to implementing the present pact, joint technical commissions, to be appointed by the respective Governments of Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, will meet without delay.

ARTICLE 5. Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics affirm that the above agreement affects in no way the political status existing at present between the two Contracting Powers.

ARTICLE 6. The present pact shall become valid immediately upon signature and shall remain in force ten years from the date on which it becomes effective. In due time, before the expiration of said term, the High Contracting Parties shall, at the request of any one of them, enter into negotiations for its renewal.
Stalin and Molotov starred at the documents with the most blank, expressionless faces. They, who had hoped to make a peaceful non-aggression pact with Hitler, now realized that they could be making an unholy deal with the devil himself.

Molotov was the first to speak as Stalin was still dumbstruck, trying to figure the document out, detail by detail.
“An alliance? You must be yanking our chains! An alliance between the Communists and Fascists?”
“Precisely! An alliance between Germany and the Soviet Union is the only way to ensure a better future and to claim victory in the name of the common good!”
Annoyed and irritated, Stalin roared at Hitler’s ideas.
“Madness! What you speak of is a dream, a fantasy! World domination is not possible! Hundreds of imperialistic men have tried to conquer the world and all of them failed!”
“Yes. They all did fail, but they were all alone.”
Stalin was most confused.
“What are you getting at?”
“You must join us! Together, we could rule our respected spheres of influence without outside opposition.”
“Hmmm… How could this work, exactly?”
“Easy! First, we shall partition Poland, to allow us a border with each other and a border between our European spheres. Next, we shall further divide Eastern Europe between our nations, according to the pact. Then, while I move forward with my war against the French and the British, you should prepare yourself with a war against the Japanese, in order to liberate China from their clutches and to aid against the British Commonwealth in the Asia and Oceania continents.”
“And what of those blasted Americas?”
“When the time comes, we shall attack the United States on two fronts in order to annihilate them. With them out the way, it will be a mad grab for the rest of the Americas. That’s where we come in.”
“This is a very difficult and risky decision, what do you think Molotov?”
“While I agree that this could very risky, I think that the terms listed are too good to pass up.”
Stalin was still unsure. This pact could be a trap! A scam set up to open the Soviet Union up for the Germans only to have them attack it. However, a deal like this one never comes around in a usual lifetime. He had to choose between losing the only chance to expand Communism or selling his soul to the devil for a rich reward. The choice was difficult at first, but soon became obvious to Stalin. He took a deep breath.
“Ok. Let it be so, we shall sign the pact. Let it be known on this day, Communists and Fascists have united together for the sake of the common good.”
“A wise decision Stalin. One you will not soon regret!”

With that, the pact was signed. The unthinkable had just been thought! The undoable had just been done! An alliance between the Soviets and the Nazis had just been made official! To this day, many people refer to this agreement as the “Pact of Blood” because of the unimaginable dead count that was counted.

Molotov signs the German–Soviet alliance pact. Behind him are Hitler and Stalin.
Hitler smiled and while he shook the hand of Stalin, he was ready to put his full plan into action…

Stalin and Hitler shake hands after signing the pact.
As the Germans were boarding their flight back to Berlin, Hitler turned to Ribbentrop and assured him that their plan was working perfectly.

“Everything is going according to plans.”
They stepped on the plane and it took off, through the sky towards Germany.

The skies that were reported after the signing had concluded.

Many people reported that the sky had seemed to get increasingly unfriendly after the meeting had ended, but nobody ever related the two occurrences with each other.

You superimposed the pix of Stalin+Hitler? That is a good effort! The world shall dark and bloody!

Wow! Awesome!

Nice giant head hitler/ribbentrop? :p

Also, woo. SovietCalifornia here we come!

unless you do something radical, the allies will be a pushover
anyway, nice idea

Wow! I actually got replies on this thing!

Replies:

@Thundergate: Well I had to have Hitler there right? It wouldn't be an unholy alliance signing without Hitler!
@gianlucad: Thanks!
@KaiserMuffin: Yeah, on the first post you see an extremely noticeable orange button! Giant heads! ("Of course don't you know anything about science!?") Yep, California is in the Soviet sphere!
@trekaddict: Suprisingly, I found your AAR after I started my story. But, I'll sure to look in there for tips on how to run this thing!
@Mico94: Trust me, something uncomfortably, unnaturally, unchristianly radical is going to soon happen! Who ever said anything about the Allies being important? HAHAHA!
@Kurt_Steiner: Madness? THIS IS CRILLY!

Wow! Thanks for all the feedback! Update coming eventually today!

I'm gonna say that Aliens invade. :p

Well, I will be glad to help, but I am doing the other side.... Rule Britannia. :D

We here at Totally Random Productions thank you for your purchase of the AuthAAR GfX Kit, Should there be any concern about the product, feel free to contact our help service.

:D

Anyway, good start, where did you get the inspiration for such an unholy alliance?

And btw, to increase the challenge, I suggest beefing up the USA, the UK and Japan, with about +350% effective IC. ;)

Chapter 2: Renewing the Polish–Soviet War
Part I: Poland will Fall in a Month
August 26, 1939, Berlin, German Reich
Two days ago, the alliance that shocked the world was signed. Now, Hitler and Stalin were about to invoke the first act of their agreement… the partition of Poland. To Germany, this was a chance to regain the territory lost from the Great War. To the Soviets, however, it was a continuation of the Polish-Soviet War! A war that, the Soviets believe was never finished. To them, the Treaty of Riga was no longer valid. The time for a Soviet Poland had come! However, the Germans had plans of their own for not just western Poland, but for the remainder of Europe.

Hitler was sitting in his office when he had come to a conclusion that the first acts from the ‘Soviet Pact’ were ready to be put into effect. He called in his Chief of Army to prepare for the ‘Polish problem’.

HitlerDesk.jpg
Hitler at his desk. He wanted to waste no time in activating the protocols that came with the pact.
“Walther von Brauchitsch, step in here now”
“Yes Mein Führer?”
“I want you to prepare our armies in the east. The time to invade Poland is now!”
“Mein Führer? We have signed the alliance with Soviet Russia but two days ago and it is already time for war?”
“Not yet, but soon. Poland will fall in a month and we can focus our full army on the French front.”
“And what of the Soviets?”
“They shall enter Poland from their side and meet up with us in the middle. After that, according to the pact, they will enter a war with Japan. After Japan falls, they shall aid us with the capture of British India.”
“What of the future Mein Führer? After the fall of Asia and the Allies?”
“Amerika! We attack Amerika!”

Walther attempted to ask more questions, but was quickly silenced by Hitler’s request.
“I want you to order our commanders on the Polish border, Fedor von Bock and Gerd von Rundstedt, to prepare for the attack.”
“Yes Mein Führer.”

Walther proceeded to walk out, fearful of what was to come.

August 27, 1939, Moscow, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
The room was cold and quiet. The morning sun was rising over the Motherland. Stalin was pacing across the floor. He was thinking. ‘How is an alliance between Communists and Fascists possible? How can we have claims on half of the world? How could I shake hands with that man? Is he a man? Or is he a monster? I might never know.’

stalin_at_desk.jpg
Stalin at his desk just as Molotov stormed in.
Molotov was running toward Stalin’s office, holding a message.
“Comrade Stalin!”
“What is the meaning of this comrade?”
“Germany has sent a message saying that it is almost time. German troops are getting ready to move up to the Polish border.”
“This cannot be! Are our troops ready for war? Bring in Voroshilov!”
Stalin was furious. He had not prepared for such a war on such short notice.

Molotov walked out and returned but a minute later with Voroshilov, the Chief of the Red Army.
“Comrade Voroshilov, it would seem that we are about to engage Poland in a war. I want you to order our generals to prepare at once.”
“It will be done comrade.”
“You are dismissed.”
Stalin knew that Voroshilov had to start work now if they were to be ready to advance into Poland.

Voroshilov and Molotov walked out and Stalin continued to pace.

@TemplarComander: Nope, but that does happen in one of my future AAR ideas! ;)
@trekaddict: I see, well let's see if those Ol' Brits can stand up to the might of Hitler and Stalin ON THE SAME SIDE! Thanks for your comment.
@TRP: The only thing I really need is more of those Grunge-Kit templates, but I hear those are coming soon. I actually got it from a topic called Unholy Alliance where he had trouble getting the event to work right. Just like that I started to right a story about an Unholy Alliance, with my own special twists on it.
Because I'm not going to help Germany fight Britain unless I need to (German AI messes up) I won't beef up Britan, but I have tripled the Japanese IC and have special plans for the USA *NO SPOILERS*!
