Just got the game, love it to bits, mastered most of it, but why can't I buy Marines. even in the Grand Campaign when I've conquered a port andbuilt and upgraded a fort I still can't buy marines, and without marines I can't take any supply ports.

Is there any way I can buy marines at my home port?
Help!
 
you have to have the right ships unlocked. the brig id the 1st ship able to carry marines. the smaller ships can't.
