Well done, thanks! ;)

Well done for polishing off these TT

You did a good job yourself digging up information! I think the DDR is alot nicer now after we worked on it a little bit.

Going over Austria the final time now.

TT's for AUS:

Alexander Löhr: Took the ö out of the TT Photo name. Replaced it with a regular o.

Alfred Hubicki: No change.

Alfred Jansa: No change.

Anselm Franz: Added Aeronautics. I had originally had this Specialty taken out, but after realising that all the other Rocketry TT's also have Aeronautics, I think I will add it back again.

August Fischer-See: Moved Start Date from 1945 to 1946.

Daimler: No change.

Erwin Fussenegger: Moved Start Date from 1945 to 1946.

Erwin Schrödinger(1): Took the ö out of the TT Photo name. Replaced it with a regular o.

Erwin Schrödinger(2): Took the ö out of the TT Photo name. Replaced it with a regular o.

Georg Stetter: No change.

Georg Trapp: No change.

GÖCH: Took "-Gesellschaft Österreichischer Chemiker" out of the TT Name, because I think that name is too long, and since the acronym GÖCH is commonly used, it isn't hurtful to shorten it.

Hirtenberger Patronenfabrik: No change.

Hirtenberger-Hopfner: No change.

Julius Yllam: No change.

Korneuburg Werft: Took "AG" out of the TT Name, because it is unneccessary. AG merely denotes that the company was Public. It is similiar the VEB in many DDR companies, which denoted that that company was State Owned.

Kurt Gödel: Took the ö out of the TT Photo name. Replaced it with a regular o.

Österreichische Donauflottille: Took the Ö out of the TT Photo name. Replaced it with a regular O.

Otto Kauba: No change.

Paul Lube: Moved Start Date from 1945 to 1946.

Pintsch Bamag: No change.

Puch: Replacing the old Logo with a Picture. I have tried to do this 2 times now, but because you don't first delete the old AUS photos, it never gets added. They both are named T_AUS_Puch.

Steyr: No change.

Technische Universität Wien: Took the ä out of the TT Photo name. Replaced it with a regular ä. Removed Specialty Small Unit Tactics. I think it was there on accident.

Werner Vogl: Moved Start Date from 1945 to 1946.

Wolfgang Gröbner: Took the ö out of the TT Photo name. Replaced it with a regular o.

Removed TT's:

Österreichische Luftstreitkräfte: I think we should remove this TT because we already have 2 Air Doctrine TT's to cover Austria. It had been agreed that these "Generic" Airforce/Army/Navy TT's were only fillers for when enough actual could not be found to make TT's out of. Not that we have found enough leaders for Austira I think this TT should be removed.

Österreichisches Bundesheer: Same case as with the TT above. We have enough people to cover Austria.

Notes:

The TT's of August Fischer-See, Erwin Fussenegger, Paul Lube and Werner Vogl had their start dates moved back to 1946 because they are Post-war TT's. I wan't the Pre-war/War TT's to end in 1945, and the Post-war TT's to begin in 1946, I don't not want to have them all at the same time.
This whole deal is only for nations were politics were concerned. In Austria after the war, all people who had served in the German Army with a Generals rank were retired.

The "Special Characters" such as "ä" and "ö" have been removed from TT Photo names due to a dicussion that was had in the 2nd Thread.

Also, before I upload the pictures Cardus, I would like it if you first deleted all the old ones with the AUS tag. Sometimes when I gave new ones it kept the old ones, and there are some doubles. We actually have 4 different pictures for Erwin Schrödinger in the pack right now! So please can you tell me when you have deleted the old photos and then I will put up the new Photo Pack.

Cardus, is it possible, when someone posts a code, for you to just copy-paste it into the pack?

Just wondering, becuase it seems like it would make things alot easier.

Double TT on Ukraine for beta v1.2

UKR codes 14000-14014 are coded for Country UKR correctly

CKR codes 914000-914013 are coded UKR also incorrectly, should be CKR

Thank you

Since Novo Nordisk was greated in a merger in 1989 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novo_Nordisk), I suggest we either

As a Greek I have to say PYRKAL is a famous company, while its english translation is not a good choice. Like if you name FIAT the ''Italian Automobile Company"
so, I recommend you make it either

PYRKAL
or
PYRKAL Cartridge & Powder Co.
but I have to insist the name remains.

btw I have no idea what the AEEXPL TT represents!
thank you for your time;)

Cardus, please see note above for one of the Greek TT to be re-named.

Thanks

I personally think just plain old PYRKAL is the best.
Also, if someone finds a logo, we can make one of those fancy TT Photos.

Edit: During the time period the company was known as EPK, so I think the name should be changed to that. It was renamed PYRKAL much later. I did find a logo however, that can be used:

pyrkal.jpg

It is small, and a little crooked, but hopefully it will work.

I was able to create German National Socialist Puppets of Byelorussia (BLR) and Ukraine (UKR) in the Autumn/Fall of 1942, these are the new TT for 1/9/1942:

BLR n/c (3 new TT)
UKR using Tupolev Design Bureau for Basic Electronic Computers* (14 new TT)

* TT in beta pack v1.2 for UKR and CKR (Communist Ukraine) have both been coded under UKR, this may make the UKR report unreliable as they could use the same team twice; I will continue to report and point out any inconsistances (edit) but it looks as if it's going to be OK.

* Mexico has no shipbuilding TT; historically this looks correct as they have purchased ex-USN Ships for the Mexican Navy but in game don't they need a generic ship-yard to research navy vessels. In this test the AI is using the air-specialist TNCA to research Early Destroyer.

Thanks

I will try to catch up tomorrow. Happy new year to everyone.

HUN using Raba and Richter Gyogyszergyar for Battlefield Destruction Doc. and Production Planning, respectively
Richter Gedeon Gyógyszergyár was ICN in the vanilla setup. Same skill, same specialities, but different name and picture. So it is not a change.

Werth Henrik is the only doctrine team prior to 1938. He is skill 3, while the skill 4 TTs start in 1938. Thus using him for research is actually worse than vanilla.

Fejér Lipot was included so he do encyrption/decryption. Not much better than the vanilla Bay Zoltán.

I will try to catch up on the pictures.

My list of to do's:

Uruguay is missing from the release
A number of TT pics are in double, should be removed
A number of TT pics' names still have non English alphabet letters

AFG/Afganistan needs at least one more team. Preferably an industrial one.
ALB/Albania needs new pics for the naval yard. Id = 8206, Duplicate with nation tag ALB
ALG/Algiers: The petrol company is just too good.
ANG/Angola: Ministry of Defence and University needs new picture
ARG/Argentina: SIAM di tella needs new pic
ARM/Armenia: Ministry of defence lack white border. Replace.
AST/Australia: Horace Campbell needs better pic

This is that the average skill of the top five skill levels among any particular nation's tech teams should not change.

Country - Avg Vanilla - Avg New TTs
USA - 7.3 - 7 (mainly because some new TTs have, on average, lower skills)

As you can see the difference is minimal and the changes are easy to explain.

Balesir's check seems to be more relevant. Please note, that I can add one skill level 9 team, and 20 skill one team, and then the grand average would go down. However, the research potential would go up.
But even the top five skillwise could be misleading. Sometimes a TT one or even two level lower put with better matches could be a better team.

If I may add my 2 cents: The editor could do a calculation of average research potential for the different areas (infantry, tank, naval, doctrines, etc.). If that does not change too much, then I think the new TT file is OK.

So, while finding Military figures to use as Doctrine TT's for Russia hasn't been a huge problem, I need peoples opinions on Industrial TT's.

Both Russia and the Soviet Union have many of these "Design Bureaus". Many were founded during the Soviet Period, but some were operating during the Czarist Period. Where possible I have given them names they had pre-Communism, but for the the ones that wern't I am torn.

Do you want me to give them their "Communist" names? Or would you like their names as they are today? I think the first option is better, but what do others think?

Also, some were named, or founded by famous scientists, would you like me to just include them instead? So instead of "Sukhoi Design Bureau", we would have "Pavel Sukhoi". There are also plenty of White Russian's who emigrated abroad who would qualify to be TT's.

Now for Doctrine TT's we have went with people who didn't die during the RCW. Many White Russian Generals were murdered later by NKVD assasins, however, we are ignoring this, and are basing things off of a White Russian Victory in the RCW. However, it is harder to find Air Generals and Admirals.

If people can answer these questions that would be great. Until then I am kinda stuck, I'm not having problems finding information however.

Also, I will not be downgrading any Russian TT's that come directly from the Soviet Union, and new TT's will not be given a lower skill. And example may be Anton Denikin, who I will be giving a Skill 6. Any Russia that survived the Civil War would by 1936 be more or less at the same point as the Soviet Union was. Maybe things would have been even better, who knows.

Regarding the TTs pease find below a proposal. Marked in red are TTs I'm not sure should be included.

Code:
[COLOR="Red"]9309;João Macedo é Brito;T9302;2;1930;1970;small_unit_tactics;centralized_execution;infantry_focus;training;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;x
9310;Mousinho de Alburquerque;T9304;2;1930;1970;small_taskforce_tactics;seamanship;naval_training;centralized_execution;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;x
9311;Companhia Insulana de Navegação;;1;1948;1970;naval_engineering;mechanics;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;[/COLOR]

As for the second I have found this: A cavalry leader who died before WWI
http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joaquim_Augusto_Mouzinho_de_Albuquerque

As for Brita I have not found anything.

As for the Naval team it can be added if you think it is Angolan and not Portuguese (I need to read more)
