The Heinz Hoffmann photo is in the pack, but here it is aswell:

I'd also like Simon, if you could run a new test on Portugal, once Cardus hss implemented the TT's. :)

Edit: I have also asked Kunadem to put Portugal as a priority, because with the pictures it will be done. If anyone want's to see the origional proposal it is here:http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showpost.php?p=10622564&postcount=272.

Any questions please ask. It had taken me some time to type it all up (giving quite detailed information about the new TT's), but I took too long and ran out of time, and when I wen't back it had deleted it... So when I retyped it I wasn't as detailed.

Anyone needs Communist Poland techteams?

I believe Czechoslovakia, Poland and perhaps other EE nations could receive communist 'twins' just like Ukraine did. Honestly - communist Ukraine makes less sense after all it was a part of the SU while EE countries experienced all those changes for real.

Yes.

I may mention that it was termed a Republic in an attempt to get support from non-Cossack Peasants who lived there.

If Don Cossacks are included Crimean Tartars should be included too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_People's_Republic

Qırım Halq Cumhuriyeti could be added if enough information is found.

BTW Just found 11 pre-war Ukrainian commanders who either were exiled or served in Poland as contracted officers together with Georgians - no UPA, just anti-communist.
But that is a subject for the leader thread.

Much later I will add some team for Hungary, but I do not think it needs a separate file. Just some events maybe.

We have coded the TTs because we cannot make events. Regarding Cossacks the idea is to aggregate all of them in a confederation. Your inputs on TTs are always welcome but please wait a couple of days because we are going to deliver the ver 1.2.1

I would remove industrial_engineering from Universidade de Coimbra and add it to any manufacture company at your choice. That speciality is not theoretical please let me know your preference asap because we are late.

Is there a deadline for 1.2.1 (e.g. at what time should I download 1.2 and run it through the perl script)?

Once I have finished I will upload the ver 1.2.1 I will inform you with a message and afterwards you will download the pack and run your script. I will trust you that you will not change anything in the files except than the order. Please upload the files and provide the link for downloading. Your pack will named as ver 1.2.2

Actually they specialise in that, however I see what you are getting at. They give courses about this.

I actually think maybe not give Portugal any TT with this trait. In doing research,It was astonishing, they had basically no real industry untill the 1970's. This will show, they didn't have an industry.

More perl

Ok, but I'm going offline until Sunday evening.

Another little perl script is the following
Code:
#!/usr/bin/perl -w

use strict;
use warnings;

my $id = -2;
my $country = "";
while (<>) {
        if (/^\s*$/) {
                next;
        }
        if (/^#/) {
                next;
        }
        if ($id == -2) {
            if (/\w{3};Name;Pic Name;Skill;Start Year;End Year;Speciality1;Speciality2;Speciality3;Speciality4;Speciality5;Speciality6;Speciality7;Speciality8;Speciality9;Speciality10;Speciality11;Speciality12;Speciality13;Speciality14;Speciality15;Speciality16;Speciality17;Speciality18;Speciality19;  Speciality20;Speciality21;Speciality22;Speciality23;Speciality24;Speciality25;Speciality26;Speciality27;Speciality28;Speciality29;Speciality30;Speciality31;Speciality32;x/) {
                my @line = split(/;/);
                $country = $line[0];
                $id = 0;
            } else {
                print;
                die "Header mismatch"
            }
        } else {
            if (/\d+;[^;]*;[a-zA-Z0-9_]+;\d;\d\d\d\d;\d\d\d\d;(;|aeronautics;|aircraft_testing;|artillery;|bomber_tactics;|combined_arms_focus;|carrier_tactics;|centralized_execution;|chemistry;|individual_courage;|decentralized_execution;|electronics;|general_equipment;|fighter_tactics;|industrial_engineering;|infantry_focus;|large_unit_tactics;|large_taskforce_tactics;|mechanics;|management;|mathematics;|nuclear_engineering;|naval_artillery;|naval_engineering;|naval_training;|nuclear_physics;|piloting;|rocketry;|seamanship;|small_unit_tactics;|small_taskforce_tactics;|submarine_tactics;|technical_efficiency;|training;){32}x/) {
            } else {
                print;
                print $country;
                print "\n";
        }
    }
}
which indicates trouble with the following teams (there might be a bug in the code - I'm a bit pressed for time). Note since this is pasted from a linux terminal, non-ascii characters are missing/bad. However, the potential problem lies somewhere else than in the name of the tech team.

As I put up code for AUS and DDR, I assume I am putting too many ; ? You are supposed to put up 39 of them?

Edit: I was wrong, only 38 are needed.

Great work! I like what you did with Bial, it looks like Flourescent Lighting!:cool:

Have you had any luck with Meireles? I know the picture is not good, but it is the only one, and I think anything is better then nothing.

I have made some handy statistics in relation to the tech-teams which I will post here today. These statistics show the number of tech-teams available to “all” countries in AOD 1.2 atm. I have also made statistics over an “ideal” minimum number of tech teams that should be at each country’s disposal, based on its GDP and population in 1938.

These figures should serve the purpose as rough guidelines and make it easier for us to balance and proportionalize the numbers of tech-teams available to all countries in all our future work on this project. With these figures it makes sense to perceive which countries need more TTs and which doesn’t - from a comparative and game balancing perspective.

I have a lot of data on GDP per capita from the 40s and 50s which could be adequate as rough guidelines (at least the most adequate) if we are to set an “ideal average skill” to the TTs of all countries. We should discuss this however.

Good idea. I fully agree on the rough because, for example, Italy and especially Germany and Japan were completely destroyed but they managed to become (once again) among the first economies in the world. I mean that the speed of growth was really impressive and whatever was the hierarchy/GDP in the 50's it become completely different in the 60's

Here is the picture pack for Portugual:

Note: we are missing Manuel Meireles:

This is a bad picture, but the only one, and needs to be done.

Edit: With Microsoft Picture Manager, I had put it to 200%, and it looked just as "good", however, it will not save it like that. I went to Paint, but when I enlarge it, then it screws up the pixels...

Edit 2: Now I have been able to save it, it looks good still:

Almost the same size...
Kunadem, is this okay?

As I already have stated I have made some statistics in relation to the tech-teams. These statistics show the number of tech-teams available to “all” countries in AOD 1.2 atm. According to my figures some countries need a lots of more TTs, while some others can be considered done. We do not have to implement a number of TTs perfectly consistent with the ideals among my figures. We should however consider the ideal number of TTs as an actual ideal.

Revising and adding TTs is a more or less constant job. We should keep in mind these figures for our future work on this project. Then hopefully we have an extremely balanced and proportional technological aspect ready for AOD when the next patches after 1.2 are on schedule and are ready for release.

Now, take a look at it and say what you think about it. Please correct me and fill in more info if something is wrong or missing. Note that there is some essential info underneath the mere statistics in the file.

The file is an excel-file and can be downloaded HERE

I’m aiming at updating these statistics each day as new TTs are included.
