MisterB: we have a strong policy as well, probably better than UGSA. The things the NUP wants are indeed very strong but we advocate peace and it might take us into a conflict with the Syndicalists, we have to struggle first. Therefore war with Syndicalists cannot be avoided, because they want us destroyed: to ensure that the world lives in Anarchy and rubble: do you want that? Keep voting UGSA. Do you want peace, freedom and wealth: vote PCP!

What is peace worth when we know a war is coming? This war will come and we should just wait for the enemy and let them dictate the terms of this war? Should we risk the chance of fighting on our territory and destroy the German homeland? I can’t see how that is a smart choice

Would there be interest in a USA election AAR? In KR or HOI2, whatever.

Sounds good, problem is, can the forums handle another AAR of Interactive size? I'm getting worried the interactive AARs by their massive popularity may begin dominating the traditional ones leading to a viewer loss for newer authors, which is possibly the worst thing that could happen

Definitely! The same way I modded all the ministers for my KR AAR. Except I will make everyone pick a picture that is already in the game so that I don't have to send you anything other than an xcel file with all the things changed in it.

Looking forward to the outcome!

Oh, on the map, I have a blank HOI2 map that you can use. You have to use Photoshop or paint to fill in the borders yourself but its pretty easy.

We'll try. And, if you do a government thing, could you copy the avatars the government members use on this forum to ingame graphics? would be handier to identify everyone.

And thus a new type of AAR was born. The election AAR

A long tradition actually, only this one is the most popular so far.

Yeah, we've heard Hannibal Barca started the tradition, although we ourselves were inspired by Stormbringer and Kovan09 and decided to push the interactivity to a maximum level. Well, or at least the maximum possible. Imagine a mega-AAR in which every country in the world has it's own players parties and elections, like Realpolitik but in a huge MP match for everyone :D

It's such a shame I've already used the 300 line...

...

...oh the hell with it.

This is madness!

The amount of organization needed for that would be astronomical.

Oh hell no, don't you dare look at us. We're TRP, not NASA :D

(Floating a test bubble, and preparing for the 1938 election)

Many 'moderate' Syndicalists within the the Anaracho-Bolsheviks blamed the leadership of the Left for the impending defeat of progressive parties in the 1936 election to the Center. These people claimed that the leadership would rather engage in rhetoric about overthrowing the monarchial traditions of the past rather than actually help the working class. These Syndicalists were horrified at reports that the Anarcho-Bolsheviks were being funded by France, and began searching for a different party to pledge themselves to. At the same time, there were a few disgruntled members in the old Weltreich party who disagreed with the merger of the Weltreich into the LCP, and desired for the establishment of the ideal technocracy. As a result, the Syndicalists and the Weltreichians joined up together to form the "New Weltreich", less a party, and more of a pragmatic Marxist ideology loosely controlled by a council of rotating "Party Presidents" with a political platform carefully crafted to keep the loose alliance together.

(apologies, OAM)

Alignment: The New Weltreich is "Technocractic" like the previous Weltreich, valuing scientific progress as a way to increase the living standards of society while removing class conflict. It believes in individual freedom, but also believes in national unity in times of crisis. It is a combination of Social-Liberal and Authortarian. The New Weltreich has however adopted a new political platform of creating Syndicates within Germany, united by a central government in Berlin, introducing a Syndicalist aspect to the Technocracy.

Government: The German Empire has been oppressed by the rich classes. However, the Kasier is not to blame for the class oppression. Rather, the Kasier is a leader of our glorious nation, leading both the rich Germans and the poor Germans. Rather than calling for the abolishment of the monarchy, the New Weltreich calls for reforming the oppressive German Empire into a progressive Syndicalist Monarchy, where the Kasier would preside over a union of socialist German Syndicates and would take charge of their foriegn policy, and advised by delegates from each of the German Syndicates.

Relationship with Syndicates: We are willing to be friends with fellow Syndicalists, as long as they agree to be friends with us. After all, we both prefer the same government, that of Syndicalism. Sadly, many so-called "Syndicates" are willing to use Syndicalism merely as an excuse to bully other nations into following their will, even going so far as to wage wars of conquest against any nation they wish to deem "reactionary", for nothing more than land and glory. We will not join up with the Internationale nor will we subject ourselves to being Internationale Puppets, but we are willing to be friends with the Syndicates in support of the struggle of all freedom-loving peoples against oppression.

As a gesture of friendship, we urge the French Syndicate to give up its territorial demands on Alsace-Lorraine.

Campagin Finance Reform: The New Weltreich has adopted a policy of not accepting campagin donations from anyone outside of the German Empire, and we urge all parties to do the same. We support an explicit ban on political donations from outside of the German Empire, and this ban should be enforced.

Social Justice: In order to begin the process of economic prosperity for all, and not just for the rich, we urge for the abolishment of the free market, moving towards a centrally-planned economy backed with extensive social programs, including health care and education.

Technology: Germany must begin a process of modernizing not only its army, but also its empire. We urge for the German government to embark on a policy of "scientific reform", devoting more money to funding technology, and organizing our entire society around scientific progress. Only through Science can we seek to end class conflict.

Universal Suffrage: For women's rights. Women have been oppressed as much as the working class have. They deserve the vote.

Universal Citizenship: We have many colonies, but we have refused to give even the most minor of rights to the natives living in those colonies. This must change. We support citizenship to every person living in our colonial empire.

Military Doctrine: We support the modernization of the German military, so as to defend Germany. We are opposed to a reduction of the German army however, as current events requires Germany to keep its army at a state of alert.

Mitteleuropean Policy: We are for a Democratic European Union, so as to lessen tensions throughout Europe and create economic prosperity for all.

German Territorial Claims: Germans today desire to be united into one nation. We must support such unification using peaceful means, only using force if the German populations are being threatened.

Pacifism/Realpolitik/Jingoism/Reactionism: Realpolitik. Pacifism is a nice idea in theory, but the world is far too violent for us to resort to it currently. Fences make for good neighbors.

At the same time, Pacifism ignores the real oppression of the working class. There may be many progressive countries and movements that are threatened by reactionaries, and sometimes, violence is necessary to defend the revolution. Realpolitik is the compromise between Jingoism and Pacifism.

Couldn't wait for the results eh? :D. Well your guys speculations are pretty correct; Unless the gloryists or left find 20-30 new votes by tomorrow, it's looking like a PCP/LCP/NUP/DNVP victory. We'll do the final count tomorrow and I'll let you guys know how it went down.

A syndicalist New Welreich Party? Can we say NWP? We're very interested to see how this works out in 1938, and how the ruling coalition will respond to these leftists that want to bridge the gap between the Imperial-Center and the Syndical-Left. Maybe adding a red star into the center of the old Weltreich logo would be a nice addon? And what will Alexus his new project be in 1938? The elections aren't even over yet, and already the opposition forces are plotting their comeback next elections :D

I'm off to bed, so make sure you finalise all the ballots while I'm sleeping, because when I wake up tomorrow it's counting time!

(Floating a test bubble, and preparing for the 1938 election)...

"Defeat is a common fate of a soldier. There is nothing to be ashamed of in it. The great point is whether we have performed our duty." - Admiral Tōgō

Though we may differ in what we believe is the best path for Germany, I look forward to many a civil debate. That holds so long as the hateful, partisan spitting the ABNB/UGSA was so fond of does not find a home in new Weltreich. :)

I must say that this is really great AAR that you TRP has created/unleashed. I can see it now that this gonna be a massive juggernaut in the future of AARland!

Also on a further note: Kaiserreich 1.1 Pre-Release 01 (well it speaks for itself!)

2 years per election. Which means next one is in '38...
