Great action as always.
The Germans have a pretty impressive carrier force !

Like I said Africa will be easy to deal with. The only question is how long. I think one reason that Germany and Russia aren't overrunning Europe is that they are trying to cause as much casualties before they try anything.

Anyway I suggest that as far as the Ottomans go, only break off Persia (and turn it into a puppet) and leave the Ottomans more or less intact (that way when you turn them into a puppet you only have to deal with two nations for all your major oil needs) and it leaves the region more stable post-war.

It seems that German carriers will be causing a lot of problems for USN in the future. But Allies are doing great job in Africa!

@Xesan: I probably won't create Israel, or palestine, but rather, a third country that I am sure most people have not heard of...

@CylonAndrew: I am confident that before that can happen, I will be able to secure the mountainous provinces of Western Persia to secure that front with the Russians.

@Karaiskandar: It is pretty powerful, but the German's are still outnumbered heavily at sea by my carrier fleet. Plus, the German navy has a large imbalance of Capital ships to escort vessels, making them highly vulnerable, unlike the far more capable Imperial Japanese Navy of the Pacific war.

@salidas16: As far as the Ottomans are concerned, I plan to bring them down completely. The sick man of Europe is an oppressive empire, that persecutes its many ethnic minorities. These people, and the Turkish people themselves, deserve freedom from Ottoman rule. I am still not sure how I will divide up the region though, since the post WW1 carving up of the middle east by France and Britain never happened in this reality.

@Asalto: Africa was never really expected to be a real challenge. Goring does not have enough Industry and soldiers to effectively challenge the might of the Allied Forces.

@everyone: thanks for the comments!

Tel Aviv falls to US army mechanized infantry formations charging out of the Gaza region. The Ottomans however attempt to retake the city with a large infantry counterattack. This attack turns into a bloody fiasco, with huge numbers of Ottoman infantry pounded into the ground by American mobile artillery and huge automatic weapons fire. The Ottoman attack falls apart with the enemy turning back to the north.

By this time in the game, I have researched the last technologies that are possible to research in HOI2. I kinda wish I had tried to add the cold war tech tree extension, but trying to do so now would probably screw up the game. Anyway, thats all done with now.

In the southern portion of the Arabian peninsula, all of Yemen has been secured by US forces. Now, American troops prepare to move both northeast and northwest, towards major arab coastal cities and towns.
southarabianfront.png

Meanwhile, in Asia, US forces, with the aid of Chinese Republican army troops, begin to cross the easternmost part of the Yellow River, one of the Qing Empire's last natural lines of defense.
marchtobeijing.png

Back in Europe, total stalemate has descended on the European frontlines. French and Spanish forces, supported by small numbers of other allied divisions, are deeply entrenched along the riverbanks of Northeastern France. On the other side, German and huge numbers of Eastern European forces are piled up in intricate in-depth defenses, supported by massive numbers of jet aircraft that constantly patrol the skies against allied bombers. The situation here reminds many military officers of what it was like in the First World war, where huge numbers of Entente and German troops filled trenches stretching all the way from Switzerland in the south to the English Channel in the north.
westernfrontstalemate.png

Back in China, the Qing empire is continuing to lose more and more ground to Allied troops. Although the US army failed to cross the Yellow river at Anyang due to heavy Qing army resistance, they have succeeded in crossing at Yucheng, along the eastern coast. In the centre meanwhile, Republican troops are continuing to roll the front slowly to the north, with US forces having to catch up to the Chinese formations.

Back in the Middle East, US armoured and motorized troops, lead by the combat veteran General MacArthur, punch through Ottoman defenses at Haifa. This attack is supported by heavy naval artillery gunfire by American battleships off the coast, which bathe the Ottoman infantry in devastating shellfire. The Ottoman army breaks, and heads north into Lebanon and Syria.

Unable to defend against US armoured attacks, the Ottoman army has begun retreating deeper into Syria and Jordan. During this retreat, Ottoman troops, which were garrisoning Jerusalem, declare the holy city completely open, in an attempt to spare this important world religious site from any wartime violence and damage. Ottoman troops peacefully leave the city, hours before US forces enter it.
fallofjerusalem.png

Mecca and Medina, the two holiest cities in all of Islam, are also declared to be open cities by the Ottoman empire. A similar scenario plays out in the region as did in Jerusalem, with Ottoman troops withdrawing to the North East towards Mesopotamia without a shot fired, only hours before US forces take control of both cities. This show of chivalry by the two warring nations pleases both sides, with nobody wanting to be responsible for the destruction of some of the earths oldest and most sacred places.

As the fighting continues to rage in the Middle East and Asia, back in the Atlantic, the US navy begins a massive sealift operation from the continental United States to the island base of Sao Tome, just off the western coast of Mittelafrika. 390,000 US troops, made up largely of Air Cavalry divisions and Marines, will be put in place to begin major combat operations in the region.

Swift advance in the Middle East, nice. About Cold War mod, basing on my personal experience it should be fully compatible with Kaiserreich, so it's no too late to change to it (I believe this war will at least reach the 60s, so...)

It was really nice gesture from Ottomans to declare Jerusalem, Mecca and Medina as open cities.

Btw, I hope you'll somehow manage to expand the tech tree, it would be really awesome.

This situation is rather similare to the First World War- the Western Front's locked in stalemate (although with less futile assaults so far) so you're having to find other fronts to take down Germany's allies. Thankfully you're doing better than the Entente did, the Ottomans and Qing are moribund entities that hae#ve no place in the modern world so I hope you take them out soon.

Yes in my experience too it's compatible since it's only adding techs, from my knowledge it doesn't change "existing" technology, only adds.

Well it does change some things to be exact, like the Volksturm doctrine is taken out, some techs have different components, and I think the last doctrine in the US branch, Air-Land Battle, is changed to Early Air-Land Battle.

Regarding techs, this reminds me of your MDS Russia AAR where all the techs were researched by the end.

@atty, Black Lotus, Onni_Manni: I guess it is too late now to add the cold war tech extension. If that would work, it would most likely work at the beginning of the game, but not now with the game well underway and the major powers having researched everything already.

@CylonAndrew, Asalto: Indeed. Neither the US nor the Ottoman's would enjoy having to put down some gigantic Arab rebellion due to battle damage in Mecca or Jerusalem.

@everyone else: Thanks for the comments!

US troops begin to seize control of the Persian gulf coast from Ottoman forces, starting at the city of Dubai. The city's 50,000 defenders are easily swept away, fleeing to the northwest towards Doha.

American forces in the Middle East now begin a massive offensive, deep into the deserts of the Arabian peninsula. Ottoman armies throughout the region crumble before the might of American tanks, which now rumble towards places like Riyadh and the Jordanian desert. (BTW, this image always makes me think of this song.)

Ottoman troops attempt to make a stand at Bayir, in Jordan, but are utterly pounded by American armoured and motorized forces. Ottoman forces begin to fall back towards Syria and Mesopotamia, unable to set up an effective defensive line.
battleofbayir.png

Meanwhile, back in China, Qing forces begin a massive offensive directed at the Yunnan region of western China. 290,000 Qing troops invade the area, forcing US and Chinese republican troops to retreat south.

At the same time, 520,000 Russian troops attempt to overrun Allied forces in Peshawar. Although vastly outnumbered, Allied forces hold their positions, funneling Russian forces into designated kill-zones and causing horrendous casualties. The Russian army calls of this assault, withdrawing to their start positions.
battleofpeshawar.png

However, events in Asia are quickly overshadowed by a sudden flare up in Europe. Without warning, 500,000 Mitteleuropan troops, led by a General from the Polish army, launch a massive assault on the city of Milan, defended by a mixed force of Italian, American, and Platinean troops. The enemy forces storm the city, battling allied troops with hand grenades, assault rifles, and machine guns. Vastly outnumbered and out gunned, allied troops retreat south, across the Po river.
battleofmilant.png

Back in the middle east, US forces, led by General MacArthur, clear Ottoman troops out of Beirut.
battleofbeirut.png

Meanwhile, American tanks enter the ancient city of Damascus. Ottoman forces have absolutely no answer to the massive firepower of American armoured forces, and flee in the direction of the Euphrates river.
battleofdamascus.png

Back in Italy, the situation continues to deteriorate. Huge Mitteleuropan forces pound allied lines and expand throughout northern Italy. Turin is about to fall, and US forces along the Po river are forced to withdraw southwards after Italian forces on their flank are crushed by enemy spearhead formations. US forces that were slated to join the middle eastern theatre are redirected towards northern Italy, to aid allied forces in stopping this attack.
mitteleuropanitalybreak.png

Further north, the United States Air Force is finally ready to try and contest mitteleuropan air superiority over French airspace once again. However, American plans are drastically cut short. German radars detect the American air formations coming over the English channel from Britain, and redirect a huge number of German and Russian fighters to intercept.
englishchannelairbattle.png

The air force is slaughtered. 4 entire air wings are utterly wiped out by the enemy. The surviving squadrons flee back to British airfields, having been rendered combat ineffective.
hugeairlosses.png

The disparity in airpower forces a change of priorities for American industries. Huge numbers of new Super Sabres are ordered by the Air force, in an attempt to close the disparity between American and Enemy airpower.

In southern Europe, 40,000 Italian troops launch a daring invasion of the little kingdom of Albania. In a swift operation, Italian troops seize control of Tirana and capture the Albanian government. At gunpoint, the Albanian regime is forced to unconditionally surrender to the Allied Forces.
