@Issac Wolfe: Agreed, the time will come to get the Latin Americans back under America's leadership, and bring down their authoritarian and syndicalist regimes.
@salidas16: With the Japanese, I plan on having some kind of confrontation with them, but not in the near future. Maybe after the syndicalist international is defeated, then the time will come to bring democracy to Tokyo, Harbin, Wellington, Sydney, Vladivostok, Urga, and more....
Germany too will soon learn that payback is a harsh mistress. The Kaiser will regret encroaching on South America and pushing the US out of the world economy.
@mad general: Well, the south can rise all it wants, but they will have to realize that America will always be one and indivisible.
@everyone else: Thanks for your continued comments and support!
Iceland is becoming a real point of tension between the Royalist British/Canadians on one side and the Syndicalist Union of Britain on the other. This situation is made worse when Canadian troops arrive in the country to help support the Icelandic government from domestic disturbances.
In the far east, tensions mount between the resurgent Russia and the Japanese puppet state of Transamur, led by former Russian Admiral Aleksandr Kolchak. Despite intense Russian pressure, Kolchak refuses to allow the people of his little breakaway Russian state take part in a public plebiscite, that would question whether or not Transamur should reintegrate back into Russian territory. Kolchak, who is protected by the Japanese Empire, is able to force the Russian government to back off, raising tensions between both Russia and Japan over the issue of Transamur's sovereignty.
Back in the US, the ships of the Pacific States Navy return to San Diego for reintegration with the United States Navy. With their return, the pre war US navy is finally rebuilt, and ready once again to defend the US on the high seas. For now, the former PSN ships are ordered to the east coast, for reorganization and rechristening.
Tensions over Iceland are now flaring up even further, as the Union of Britain destabilizes the situation by sending warships to blockade the little island nation. This explosive situation now threatens to flare up into open conflict between the British republic and the Canadians/British Royalists, who respond by sending their own warships to the area.
Union of Britain battleships and cruisers, en route to Icelandic waters.
Syndicalism is also on the march in Southern Europe, as both the Republic of the Sicilies and the Commune of France invade the papal Italian federation from both sides. The pope immediately mobilizes his forces, and orders them to defend the country to the last man.
In Eastern Europe, an interesting situation develops, as Lithuania and Poland initiate talks on the so called "Union of Lomza". Although initially proposing the full integration of Poland into Lithuania, the Lithuanians are talked down to simply taking political control of Poland, which now becomes a Lithuanian puppet state. (this also makes Poland part of the German Mitteleuropa Alliance)
And then, things go out of control. Austria, which had been in previous control of the polish state after allowing Poland to annex Galicia, is infuriated after the Union of Lomza is signed without their consent. Lithuania, which is backed by Germany, refuses to back down. With things at a tipping point, the Austrian emperor, Otto the 1st of the Habsburgs, makes an unthinkable decision, declaring open war on both Poland and Lithuania and sending troops to Austria's small border with Poland in preparation for invasion. This brings an immediate response from Germany, who declares open support for both Poland and Lithuania, declaring war on the Austrians. Now, an unthinkable scenario is reality, as the former Weltkreig allies are at war with each other.
(pretty crazy isnt it? I was like HOLY SH*T! when I saw THAT series of messages pop up!)
Back in the United States, President Garner orders the immediate reconstruction of many heavily damaged sections of the country. New factory and infrastructure projects are started in places like California and New England, with the goal of putting US industrial capability back over pre-war levels, and then some. Also note the building of my first HQ division, to help make command of large armies easier.
In southern Asia, the Entente is on the march. Bengal is now almost completely overrun, and is expected to surrender almost any day now to Delhi's government.
In central Europe, things are starting to go very wrong for the Austrians. German forces have taken Prague and most of the Sudetenland, and even marching into Austria itself, pushing Austrian forces out of Lech.
To the south of the fighting raging in Austria, the Pope's Italian federation is in dire straits. Although successfully blunting Sicilian attacks from the south, in the north, French Commune forces have predictably broken through papal lines, taking Genoa and marching towards both Turin and Milan. With hundreds of thousands of French Commune troops pushing forward, things are looking bad for the papal Italians.
