A stability hit for changing to Avignon Catholic would be nice.

EDIT: It's a pretty useless function at the moment. Don't get me wrong, it's nice flavour, but it sort of has no purpose and even the pope sometimes converts.

pope converting? heresy!

Could Avignon get a province without breaking things too much? (Maybe Dauphine, if editing the map is too difficult or whatnot - I don't know the first thing about this.) The antipope thing just isn't as cool without an actual antipope.

(Although I must say, I love the ease at with which the Ottomans break. Reviving the Roman Empire was never easier.)

Large nations changed pretty easily back and forth, so I'm not sure a stab hit is relevant. Relations between the two types of Catholicism sour over time and I forget what it is, but I did make a slight difference in the effects of Avignon Catholic.

I know what is going wrong with the pope. There's a random event to give nations a chance to support the Avignon pope, but the Papacy needs to be excluded from that.:eek:o

So as stated hereabouts, I'm committed to improving the 14th century experience and have been working for a bit on updating the Age of Timur mod.

As a side note, does anyone have any good sources about Germany in the 14th century? I'm still trying to wrap my head around who was friends with whom.

Looks cool, and I look forward to checking it out in the patch.

I'm pretty sure the Jalayirids (Iraq) should be Shi'a, by the way.

As you're trying to improve the 14th/15th centuries I do hope you've added Lollardy as one of your four new religions. :D

Oh I see. So you're just a normal mod now? :p

ETA?

EDIT: Are you going to rebalance culture at all, particularly in and around Persia? I hate seeing 'mongol' spread across half the map. I'd be willing to help if you wanted it. I guess this is a one man show, though. :eek:o

Well it's just that I have been working quite a lot of re-doing the sort of cultures which would feature heavily in your mod. Just wondered how you had done things... (you can't keep vanilla cultures, they're an abomination)
