Well, what I really mean is that why would they have the 'exact' same technology as our world? Like, maybe instead of airplanes for instance, they use blimps powered by some sort of helium(assuming they have helium on their planet) That have been perfected to 1950's/60's standards(possessing advanced floating fortress like blimps Like the Kirov Airship from Red Alert series, for instance)

Or they have specially trained infantry toting the real world equivalent to the Davy Crockett tactical nuclear recoil less gun(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Cr...lear_device%29)
During WWII, they may have jets and may even use heavy tanks(which could be a big success in their world, as opposed to the big failure in our world)
just some suggestions with in the time line you suggested.
This is why I like the Fallout Mod for HOI2!
It is definitely not the Fallout mod.
And yes, tech levels are WWII-like, even though it's 2000's.
This means no lasers, no chronoshift, no power armor, no orbital bombings, no storm bolters etc. at all. At all.
(No Kirovs as well. However I do like them. "Kirov reporting", anyone?)

All I want is some techs maybe slightly different from our World War/Cold War.
It makes no sense for them to have the exact same technological advances as our world. I don't want absurd technology light years ahead of the time period, but at least alternate, more radical design concepts that never made it past prototype stages in our world.
I think my above post was misleading in how I referenced Fallout. I meant that I liked it because the tech was so radical and out there then in RTL(real time line). I don't want plasma tanks or power armor, but techs that could have been in WWII/Cold War, but still realistic. Hope this makes it more clear.
