In long and bloody war that lasted more than 10 years, Germany decided to withdraw from Indochina, leaving only weak puppet goverment behind. Pro-German regime had soon fallen and two more Syndicalist nations rose from ashes. With Treaty of Saigon in 1979 four Syndicalist republics, Burma, Siam, Laos and Vietnam merged into ''eternal and indivisionable union of brother nations'', officialy named Syndicalist Federal Republic of Indochina. They chosed Hanoi as capital of new state in honour of Ho-Chi-Minh, leader of Vietnamese resistance that started his rebellion in this city,
