Allies from Mitteleuropa couldn't do much to help Austria. Only few days after end of the war in Middle East, nations of Belgrade alliance launched sudden attack on Austrian forces. They chosed perfect time for war. Many Mitteleuropean divisions were still located far in the east, including elite Austrian Afrika Korps that was slowly returning from Turkestan. Altough Germans had most of their troops located in Europe, they didn't want to leave border with Syndicalist France unguarded and Austrians couldn't expect any help from them. Mitteleuropa could offer only limited aerial support and some Ukrainian divisions.

Belgrade Pact had realy made a cunning plan to achieve victory in this war. Greeks have captured Constantinople and closed entire traffic between Mediterranian and Black Sea. If they could hold position in Bosphorus long enough, they could press on Mitteleuropa to sign bitter peace. Main objective of Belgrade Pact was to force Austrians to retreat from Balkans. They were even counting on possible war between Mitteleuropa and Internationale. If Austrians would redeploy troops from Italian border on Balkans, this could be great chance for Internationale to take advantage and storm southern flank of Mitteleuropa.

Situation was not looking good for Austria. Greeks anexed Albania and marched against Austrian troops in Montenegro. Imperial armies were retreating from Transylvania while Serbian troops repelled all desperate counter-attacks of Austrian forces. Kefalonia was cut from supplies and Austrian garrison on island was facing annihilation. Imperial Navy was sent to clear supply routes. During this mission, Austrian fleet encountered Romanian destroyer. After short battle, Romanian ship retreated to Aegean Sea. After reaching his home terrain, lone Romanian destroyer turned back and began new battle with Austrian ships. Austrian fleet that was combined from frigates and submarines couldn't defeat heavy enemy ship and both sides withdrawed from battlefield. Fleets of Belgrade Pact were outnumbered by strong fleets of Mitteleuropa, but armies of Belgrade Pact were still more successful in land battles. General staff of Austrian Empire had to make a hard decision. Would be wise to redeploy troops from Italian border to Balkans?

Ouch the Belgrade Pact has just stabbed Austria in the Back...
The Romanian air force is pretty impressive.

The Belgrade Pact may have pulled off a coup in the short term but they can't honestly believe they alone can stand up against Mitteleuropa. Once you're able to concentrate your forces you should be able to fight them off so their only hope is to make huge gains quickly, or for another power to join the war...

When the Austrian and German reinforcements are back, some Balkanites will find themselves flying to the moon...

I would love to play this as a mod ...

''No more space on the board! Ship is packed with people, we are leaving now!'' People were pleading for place on the ship, but there wasn't any left. Young man pushed away Canadian marine and jumped on small bridge that was leading to the ship. Single shoot was fired and man fell into water. Crowd stopped screaming. Nobody was trying to approach the ship any more. Bridge was lifted and last ship started to move away from crowded docks. Desperate mass of people began to move back to the city. What else could they do? Chinese forces were aproaching last free city of India. It was hard to believe that scenario like this can happen. Enemies poured from the mountains and forces of Entente could not stop them. Maybe enemy could be stopped if there were more American and Australian divisions in India. But American and Australian troops had to fight on islands of Indonesia while allied navies couldn't bring more reinforcements to India due to massive activity of Chinese navy. Allied generals realy didn't expect such catastrophe. The jewel in the crown of the British Empire was lost.

Hope for your sake that the Chinese lack nuclear weapons, otherwise I recommend to start building fallout-shelters...

Looks like East Asia has joined the game.
