We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
You get some tiny amount gold when you take a port. And if you win a battle you only get the gold that was on the ships you captured and those which surrendered. If you sunk all the ships, the gold is with them at the bottom of the sea.
