Victoria really needed a tutorial. i had so much trouble playing Vicky for the first time, and it took me weeks to finally play the game(may be because it was my first Paradox game). anyways, so now with Vicky 2, will we hopefully see a tutorial?

Of course. Paradox games since Victoria have all had some form of tutorial, and the company is getting better and better at it as well.

Not to be unpleasent, but Paradox's tutorials should always come with quotation marks since they aren't exactly tutorials (Since they barely teach you anything). Likewise, from HoI3 demo, the tutorial explained next to nothing (Except the very very basics of any HoI game). As Victoria will apparently also be different from its predecessor, I would like that this time the game would come with a comprehensive tutorial (Not just the "Aww, go check the manual.") usual stuff I see is maintained to this point.
Yes, PLEASE. Lack of sensible tutorial was a killer in the original Victoria, and I would argue it's lead to some of the confusion and frustration being expressed in the HOI3 forums. A real tutorial that takes you through the basic concepts of the game (not just stuff like what menu to look at to build things) would be immensely helpfull.
Yes
Nostalgia is not as good as it used to be
I don't call a serie of screenshots discribing the interface a tutorial.
The only true tutorial i've seen from paradox was in EU1, It was an interactive mini scenario, and i've understood the bases of the game very easily.
But since, paradox has becomed lazy and their "tutorials" are a shame. I don't trust paradox anymore for being able to think new player.
thanks, because i've been new to the series, and i can play Vicky one, which btw a great game, but then is still don't get a lot of things. so it would be nice if the tutorial treated the player as new person to the series.
i had to download a tutorial for vicky, and not only that it didn't work, but i it also brought me a virus. and game guides, sorry to say, but worthless. any way, looking forward for vicky 2.
To be honest, given the effort needed to write a good in-game tutorial that doesn't become one of the classic a) pages of text telling things people will discover for themselves as soon as they play, or b) one of the "now move the mouse to point at this area and click. Repeat." tutorials that teach one practically nothing, I for one would prefer no in-game tutorial at all but rather a series of 5-10 minute video tutorials demonstrating play, economy, &etc - in other words, all the topics normally covered in a good tutorial.
Slap them on youtube on the Paradox channel with an in-game link and include them on the DVD of offline boxed distributions.
The only thing required is a basic script, the ability to react on your feet if something really surprising happens in game, and basic presentation skills.
Finally got around to writing a list of my AARs in the inkwell.

Currently slowly writing Born to Breed: The Estridsen Lectures, a Crusader Kings 2 AAR of the upmost seriousness. Last updated June 29th, chapter09.
Recently wrote an Endless Space Guide for 4X Veterans, which might be useful to people new to the game.
It would be cool if Victoria II has a guidebook released about it. I always learn alot from those books and it makes the gaming experience much easier.
Of course that is decided by the guidebook companies like Prima, and Paradox developers have no say in that...
